What's going to be more effective: reminding Americans who picks their produce, cleans + maintains their buildings, tends their gardens, builds their much-needed housing, serves in their armed forces + contributes cuisine enjoyed by all Americans--or waving a flag from another country?

In a similar vein, when foreigners yell "Death to America" and burn the America flag, they simultaneously tell reporters that they have no problem with the American people; it's their government that they despise.

Flags represent countries + their governance more than they represent heritage. That's why, when Jewish temples + Black churches are attacked, their members don't show up with flags from Israel or African countries. Their messaging + symbolism focus on the harm done to them + the hate behind it.

Also -- since I have heard any news reports mention this -- Trump & team seem oblivious to the fact that CA is the world's 6th largest economy.

Waving a Mexican flag plays right into the hands of the MAGAts. Don't do it. It also distracts from the reason people are actually in the streets -- to support *immigrants*, not Mexico. Stay on message, people!

Thirsty, thirsty Kristi.

Thirsty Nancy Mace is one of the is very proud of her figure--especially her bust: the tight top with the letter "A" (inexplicably), the plunging necklines with a cross on a necklace ("Look HERE!"), and now we're told she just had to share a (not-really) nude photo of herself (in silhouette).

I believe this refers to the *2* year-old with cancer who was summarily deported with her family.

No regrets on this one. Spare the pigs.

Bad link.

Yup. It's all performance. And Trump's acting sucks.

Although there are many reasons to be dissatisfied with the current crop of do-nothing Dems, let's remember that we still have Tim Walz, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, , Jamie Raskin, Jasmine Crockett, Jared Moskowitz--and Katie Porter looking to return.

>>The world is beating down the door to America's powerhouse POTUS.<< Hallelujah! Maybe they can bust in and drag him the hell out of there and put him in prison, since Congress ain't doin' its job.

Huh? Wha? Context? What is this about?

Clueless and unqualified male Fox news host. So, of course, he's going on the list of candidates to replace Hegseth as Secy of Defense.

It's a never-ending sh*t show. If anyone--ANYONE--in the administrations of Biden, Obama or Clinton had done any *one* thing from the daily barrage of violations+mis-steps gushing from the Trump regime, the GOP and right-wing media would have gone ballistic 24/7/365 for the entire Presidential term.

Place your bets here: how long before Trump says he knows nothing about Hegseth...never met him...had nothing to do with him?

He'll take that suggestion, and do one better!

Then maybe a different branch of uniform?

>>. . . nothing is a secret with Pete << Not entirely true. He was quite skilled at keeping his sexual assault (yeah, it was rape) a secret -- until reporters started digging into his background.

>>None of them would take the pay cut!<< Ah, but you're not taking into account the lucrative kick-backs from defense contractors. And that kind of leverage can last for years as a consultant or lobbyist after the govt. gig ends.

Yeah. But we literally do no have the time or resources to charge and prosecute every criminal act in Trump's regime and the rigged election leading up to it.

That actually sounds most on target. Trump made every important position an "Acting" title in his first administration. But I wonder if Congress (even its MAGA cult) will accept a temporary appointment for something as important as Secy of Defense.

>>Ivanka<< Nah. He'd never put a woman in that position. More likely a Russian or Saudi with a large bank account.

>>Alex Jones.<< OMG. I actually physically shuddered when I read that. But given Trump's penchant for juvenile, vindictive responses....it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Jones's name would be offered...even if he couldn't get confirmed.

>>The White House has begun the process of looking for a new secretary of defense. . .<< So, the on-air guys at Fox are scrambling to get their teeth whitened, schedule their Botox and freshen their wardrobes.

No doubt Trump used his channels to let the Congressional Cult know that he needed them to call for Hegseth's resignation, so he could feign disappointment when he fires Pathetic Pete. "I tried to stick up for you, Pete, but Congress wants you out. Nothing personal." Sound 'bout right?

It may also be standard practice in all administrations for key players to have enough cash on hand at all times to function in an emergency: e.g, to pay for emergency transportation, etc.

We didn't get here overnight with Trump. The GOP has cultivated incompetence and favoritism for decades. I give you Exhibit A: GW Bush complimenting woefully unqualified FEMA director Michael Brown for a "heck of a job" as Brown majorly screwed up the FEMA Hurricane Katrina response. bit.ly/3Rvraz3
