Do you even watch the franchise your adore? 😅 The Empire ruled for a little over 20 years. In that time they took out most of the low level Jedi. Empire was sp strong, not even Luke was powerful enough to destroy Palpatine, Vader was the one that destroyed him and Luke never destroyed Vader.
