It’s a warm up game I believe. They’re off to Australia soon. No doubt Ally will somehow find himself down under as well!

Just heard him on (forgive me) TalkSport: “The Lions are preparing to play Argentina in Dublin in just over a week, which I’m going to believe it or not…”
Oh Ally, we believe you alright. As I’m not sure any worldwide sporting event is actually allowed to take place without you being there!

Mate, made perfect sense! Room on that hill for me too?

That sounds lovely! I’m doing the Llangollen Canal from Whixall in a few weeks. Whether will play a large part in it either being enjoyable and chilled or miserable and stressful 😂. Good luck today!

I’d completely missed the fact that this was only a small window. I’m calm now 😂

Yep. Far too reliant on him as it stands and he himself has come out and said others need to step up.
Ideal situation is we make up the £80-100m through the sale of Antony, Sancho and Rashford, keep Bruno and build a front 5/6 actually capable of putting it in the net! I like talk of Mbeumo.

There’s probably a graph out there somewhere highlighting Bruno’s importance to this United side.
I’d be pretty confident in saying that there isn’t a player/club in the PL that relies as heavily on one player as we do with Bruno. We are THE ‘one player team’ at this moment. His loss would be huge.

Tend to agree but the timing seems odd. Next season is RA’s first full campaign - fresh start, new players, & Bruno would be central to it. If things still didn’t improve after that, a move would make more sense. Right now it just appears premature. But you don’t get ££ offers like that every day.

You’ve articulated how I’m feeling this morning perfectly in those two posts. Now’s not about rationalising / tactics / whether we’ll lose against Bilbao in the semis. It’s about United being United. The lows of this season being washed away momentarily by an indescribable high such as last night.

Sums it up beautifully.

Luka Modric. Always knew he was decent, but seeing him pull the strings against us in 2013 in Fergie’s last CL game, was amazing. Granted it was against 10 men, but the game changed when Mourinho brought him on.
Internationally, he’s been key in Croatia always performing strongly at tournaments.

No idea! 🤣
Just speculating. Nothing more, nothing less. Let’s see what happens. We probably won’t be able to afford him anyway!

Luckiest bloke in sport. No doubt they’ll wheel him out again and he’ll be in Manchester tomorrow night.

I’ve just heard them advertise coverage of the World Snooker Championship with ‘alternative commentary’ from Fletcher and McCoist.
If anyone honestly chooses to tune into that, then god help them.
They’re taking the piss. Literally said, “I hope your snooker knowledge is better than mine!”

Very true. Just another case of tv companies thinking we want the ‘boys club / watching it with your mates in the pub’ approach.
They’ve put a bloke in Ferdinand, whose defending ability is unquestionable but talking ability is extremely questionable, in a position where he has to talk!

As such, the decision to give the earlier penalty has now influenced the referee’s decision to give this one.
If the VAR hadn’t unnecessarily got involved, the on field would be working from a clean slate & wouldn’t have that past event (and the added scrutiny of fans & players) influencing him.

I read that he wasn’t that keen on heading there. And it was Napoli’s
President that scuppered the move by raising the asking price at the last minute, hence Turkey was one of his only remaining options due to their longer window.

Fair comment. The position of striker is such a lightning rod at OT due to our dysfunctionality. It’s almost unfair to expect much from anyone playing the role.
Bar Rooney, a phenomenon, we’ve never really utilised young strikers (18-24) that successfully. Most have come into successful sides.

Lots of valid points. Have to be honest - I hadn’t really considered his attitude / temperament / motivations etc. In that case, never wanted him! Would be a complete waste of money! 😂
(His middle names is James though, which for me was unexpected)

Far better environments to learn your trade (because at 21, that’s what he’s doing) than being thrust into the spotlight at Old Trafford with the expectation of being our saviour.
Hence my thinking around Delap. While probably more rounded at this stage than Hojlund, still a lot to ask of him.

I guess my thinking around this comes back to Hojlund and wondering how he’d fair in say Liverpool’s or City’s current sides.
He’d be behind the central forward at Liverpool, playing cup games and coming on as sub in the league.
And would play second fiddle to Haaland. Again, supporting as a sub.

I feel I should be able to back this up with a wise before the event post, but having seen them earlier this season, they’ve been my pick for the CL for quite a while. De Jong so, so good in this side as well. And Raphinha. And Lewa… 😂

That’s not the point he’s making though is it?
I think it’s pretty simple. All he’s saying is the previous regime and their signings were terrible.

Not the point here I know, but interested to know…was it our throw in? And did we lose possession?
