It was never about making things better for anyone; it's always been about making things worse for the types of people they hate. The nonexistent "benefits" were a useful lie believed by no one, but repeated by people who didn't want to admit how hateful they are

I've been regretting voting Labour since about day two, but seeing what the greater of two evils is accomplishing in the US, I feel a lot better about it. While still being livid that we're not allowed a left-wing party anymore

Hot take but if Netanyahu thinks living next door to Hamas was bad, imagine when the world's largest military decides it wants more legroom for its Mid-East centre of operations…

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet: www.404media.co/declassified...

Is there any way we can contact it? As the product of 3.5billion years of life, I have some pretty good hindsight advice on various mistakes to avoid (coming out of the oceans is a biggie) www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Fun fact Monopoly was created by anti-monopolist Lizzie Magie to illustrate how broken land ownership under capitalism is. From wiki: "It was intended as an educational tool to illustrate the negative aspects of concentrating land in private monopolies". We played it, but failed to learn from it.

I feel like this point distills a lot of what's wrong with society. You get your own pizza and you get to say what goes on that and only that pizza; don't like someone else's life choices? Keep it off your own pizza and leave them the fuck alone.

Whoever is in charge of updates/new releases of cats really knocked it out the park with the sphynx DLC. 10/10 no notes

Sometimes I take my clingiest cat off my lap and put her on the floor or sofa next to me and then occasionally she lasts nearly a minute before jumping back on me and smushing her face in my beard is that setting her free?
