I agree that having control over post visibility is important, but it’s not as if they are maliciously preventing us from having it. And since it's particularly hard to implement it here because they have designed the system in a way that makes them replaceable, I believe patience is warranted.

ATProto itself supports updating records but Bluesky prohibits it atm (the UI doesn’t allow it and the AppView ignores any update anyway). My understanding is that it will be supported one day, but they want to get the UX right first.

It would compromise Mastodon’s ability to give users private accounts, for one.

I've heard some wild tales from people who have taken ayahuasca, but none as mind-blowing as someone claiming to understand kubernetes

The struggle between the nationalists and the broligarchs within their coalition is about to get interesting

I understand. But I wonder if it's even a solvable problem in an open platform. ActivityPub suffers from the same issue. If email had a propageable "delete" kind of event, it would also be impossible to enforce.

With twitter, unless you have kept your account private and visible only to people you trust, you are still only hoping no third parties have already got a copy of your tweets by scraping Twitter's web app, no?

No, fuck YOU and the gang of psychopaths from the two parties that have governed YOUR country causing incredible suffering to the rest of the world for decades with no consequences at all.

I confess I'm not American (may God have mercy on my non-American soul), but given that the US, under both parties, has consistently meddled in the affairs of other nations without regard for the consequences, I kinda feel that I have the right to express my opinion about american policies.

It is funny how Trump seems to be able to do all kind of crazy shit but Biden was somehow powerless about everything that mattered.
comment in response to post
Of course not. I’m in favour of not blaming people who correctly pointed at the fact that Biden was enabling genocide for the victory of Trump. I don’t see why this is controversial.

tell me, under whose presidency was Gaza completely flattened, again?

Stating the truth?
comment in response to post
It wasnt bullshit, Biden was *paying* for the bombs that made of Gaza what it is today. That Trump is even more extreme and evil is a different thing, but lets not forget what Biden did.
