the point should not be to “work with” political opponents. it should be to destroy them as a political force. the right understands very well that politics is about power and who has power, but there are many liberals and lefties who seem to believe that it’s about making friends.

The nerd/jock duality has always been is prevalent in fascism. It’s interesting because so many teenage movies, especially in the 80’s, were about these archetypes fighting it out against one another for power and women. Turns out they were just two sides of the same coin all along.
