Yes this is Warhammer: everyone does their fair share of melee nonsense. But it's especially ludicrous for the Eldar given how sensitive they should be to casualties and how often they get crushed in combat engagements.

Eldar are insane and hilarious because their technological feats include "stealing suns," "build void-sailing planets," and "make the Warp into a relatively safe if confusing transit hub" and then when you face them in combat they run at you with swords.

The Economist does this constantly and it drives me insane. "This [insane policy/goal] is being done to [obviously dishonest rationale] but could very easily result in [terrible result that is the intended consequence]. The administration should reconsider."
