"Now I know what you're thinking, but listen. What we are doing isn't the same at all. Our cops are not identified, they'll ambush you anywhere, bash your car windows in, take you knowing you're not the guy they're looking for, and won't tell you why or how long."

Slightly less of a shock since this is almost exactly what they did with mask recommendations. Still a huge blow and so frustrating, especially with all the people I know who don't (or can't) keep up and just trust they'll be told the best thing to do by the powers that be (like with masking).

Inching ever closer to one bill being introduced that just gets right to the point: everyone everywhere will be arrested for existing, but don't worry, there will be exemptions for those existing the right way (tbd at the discretion of the arresting officer)

Not limited to republicans. It was the Biden administration that declared the sociological "end" of the pandemic. DNC just last year was a superspreader event.

Once I asked my sister if she wanted to see my decorated house bc I was really proud of it, and she said "Sure. I've never decorated my house, I always fill it with furnaces."
She texted me a photo of her house the next day, she had added one plant. Said I had inspired her.

I remember watching West Wing for the first time and being so shocked at the sam being tapped to run for an "open" seat representing a random California district he did not previously live in. And then it happened to me: Celeste Malloy was a staffer for my rep and she "moved" here and won his seat.
