"You see that, Zach? We're inspired by David Lynch. We'll have to watch some of his movies when this case is done."

Correct! I was looking for reference images for "cool skyscrapers" on Google, and a lot of what it came up with was in Dubai.

Nice work!

Thanks! For the moment, I genuinely feel like I've been shot down, but just like in Skyhunter Zero, getting shot down happens. You have more ships.

Don't worry, they'll look better when I put on the full PBR textures. These are just images so I can get the UVs right.

The fact that nature is so indifferent is what makes its conquest our destiny.

It honestly just makes me miss the days of smaller forums.

Crab attack, you say?

Note: this one doesn't have the Jerusalem Cross decals on yet. It's from an earlier build.

I think that could be accommodated, too. Musk once went on about "unregretted seconds," and I think you'd get a lot of those by letting users tune the algo to show them stuff they're likely to enjoy. The issue is revenue. Meta prioritizes advertisers and X prioritizes paid accounts. Not ideal, imo.

Twitter/X used to... kinda, but no longer even tries. Anything Meta never really did. I think it'd be really nice to have algos give you more of what you like, and we definitely have the technology.

One of my all time favorites.

I wonder if it's smart enough to guess what I like based on what I post and interact with. That'd be nice.

I'm gonna have to try that, though I wish there was an opposite function. Muting things make me see less of something, but is there a solid way to say "more of this, please?"

Also goes pretty hard. Reminds me of concept art for Kefka... but somehow more evil.

Goes pretty hard.

I really need to flesh out those buildings. Cubes are great, but cubes alone do not a game make.

None of that has anything to do with anything we are talking about.

In regions where they have no natural predators and outcompete native species, yeah.
comment in response to post
No they're literally both just invasive species. I get my information from a university-level ecology course.
comment in response to post
I'm old enough to remember a decentralized internet, where people routinely visited dozens of sites. We should bring that back.

That, and both milkweed and monarchs are invasive in some regions.

Ah, hippie type. We are not likely ever to agree on this one.
comment in response to post
Why do you assume I have not thought my position through?
comment in response to post
Nah I actually agree with this. Keeps shorts out of my feed for long content, but also lets me binge the shorts when I want to do that.

Because the stars are humanity's inheritance.

Game jam organized by some of my colleagues. They can be a bit cringey at times, but I'm working and competing with some really neat people.

And this script has gotten even larger since I posted this. Getting behaviors and timings right is pretty challenging.

We should continue doing the first one while doing significantly less of the second one. Space is cool. So is not killing one another.
comment in response to post
It's still really impressive the way you achieved this effect.
