Yes-so logical (Plus no tax cuts for the rich) 💯 Bingo-we can balance the budget without cutting essential social and environmental programs.

Simply wrong-headed. ALL IRA clean energy incentives should be retained. Solar, wind, and EV/transportation are probably the MOST important. Also any support for battery manufacturing, etc.

We've had ranked choice in Maine for a while now. It's really not that hard to figure out. You don't have to rank everyone. The result is that you end up electing someone who is at least acceptable to a majority of voters. And it does provide better opportunities for other than R and D candidates.

Oh how I hope you are wrong! But fear you may not be. Trump validates his supporters worst impulses.

A lot of it depends on fuel loads, structure, moisture, species composition, and antecedent and current weather. But I'm sure you know that...

There's a difference between a mixed severity fire and a mixed severity fire regime of course. But I certainly saw fires in the western US (where I did fire research for 25 years) that were predominantly either low or high-severity.

I think you miss the point. What about a system (could use Scots pine in Russia as an example) where most fires are surface fires with little overstory mortality, but fires under extreme conditions can develop into full-blown or patchy crown fires with high mortality and deep duff burning?

Maybe not for structure fires, but it is certainly a valid concept for vegetation fire regimes.

Can they do that legally?
