Miss Major Griffin-Gracy is a Black Transgender elder and a Stonewall veteran who has spent decades advocating for Trans rights, with a focus on incarcerated Trans women and grassroots community support.

Barbara Jordan was the first Black woman elected to the Texas Senate and a Lesbian who limited her sexual orientation to private settings due to homophobic attacks. Jordan was a trailblazing civil rights leader and a key figure in the 1974 Nixon impeachment hearings.
