This is a start but, to be clear, still nowhere close to maximum obstruction. No UC, on anything. No unrecorded votes, on anything. No waiving rules, on anything. Fight even on adjournments. Quorum calls every time you can. Make every dilatory motion in the books and new ones you just made up.

We’re focused on feeding our kids. Investing in our schools. Making sure child care is affordable. Regardless of the chaos unfolding in Washington, we’re making Minnesota the best state for kids to grow up.

MORE BARGING

Crockett: "If feels as if y'all have just decided that y'all are gonna castrate your constitutional duty & hand it over to someone who was unelected. It doesn't matter how many cheerleaders he had on the field campaigning for him. That doesn't mean he gets to go in and sit atop any of our agencies"

Democratic senators will hold the Senate floor all night long in opposition to the nomination of Russ Vought, an organizer of Project 2025, to head the OMB.

It’s no surprise that Scott Bessent and Donald Trump want to save face and downplay the risks as Elon Musk seizes power, but the American people know better. Trump and Bessent are asking you not to believe what’s playing out right in front of your eyes.

I’m on my way to the Treasury Dept to demand answers. Billionaire-in-Chief Elon Musk has been given illegal access to Americans’ private info, including Social Security numbers. Zero people voted for Elon to run our government. This is about oversight and transparency.

Honestly someone needs to let the dean of the college know that one of their students is actively violating several federal laws. I am certain that violates the student code of conduct and university disciplinary action might be the only enforcement mechanism we have right now

Since the FBI appears to be the only agency that is both still functioning and not headed by a lunatic, the Washington Field Office needs to open an investigation into the breach of the computer systems at Treasury, stat

YES! Chuck, where do you live? Can you call your Senator?

Ok man, I’ll tell them

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Jesuit Priest 👇🏽

These are the clowns Congress refuses to stop.

Members of Congress going into the US Agency for International Development!

Congressional delegation outside USAID now: “We are here to shed a light on a crime unfolding before our eyes.”

Senator Andy Kim just went to the USAID building, talked to the security guard there to confirm employees are being barred entry, and then did a press gaggle right there in front to call it out. This is doing something. This is making an effort on messaging. Other Democratic lawmakers: take notes.

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment. One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

A few things Trump just made more expensive for you: Gas Cars TVs iPhones Xboxes Avocados Strawberries Furniture Power tools Modelo Refrigerators Microwaves Clothes Bananas Tequila Maple syrup

Hey remember when Russia sent bomb threats to blue cities in swing states on Election Day and our leaders just collectively shrugged, and the media just moved on? I can't stop thinking about it.

The silence from our universities has been deafening. Tell them to grow a spine and stand up for their scientists! Top NIH funded schools: UC - [email protected] UW - [email protected] John Hopkins - [email protected] Penn - [email protected], (215) 898-7005 Duke - [email protected]

🧪 If I were Canadian PM I would immediately: 1. Create a new $15B science fund 2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada 3. Immediate permanent residency 4. Citizenship after 2 years Overnight a science superpower

okay so what legal authority does elon musk have to commandeer the office of personnel management and access reams of sensitive data? www.reuters.com/world/us/mus...

Trump is openly violating the law on a vast and unprecedented scale and everyone is acting like it's normal. NPR had a long story about finding a rare shrew. NYT said he was disregarding "legal niceties." This is an attack on the Constitution as profound as the attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

It would be nice to see mainstream media acknowledge that every alarmist in their ranks about Trump and his henchmen has been correct, and every single "Let's all calm down" guy--a posture of blasé detachment that is consistently over-rewarded in legacy media--has called it wrong from day one.

I am very much in favor of merit-based hiring and high standards for jobs with life and death implications. Which is why I oppose confirming Pete Hegseth, RFK JR, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel.

This was one of my favorite accounts! cc: @booker.senate.gov @warren.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social @jaimeharrison.bsky.social @raskin.house.gov

Kaine: "He let Musk force the resignation of the FAA administrator. He disbanded an aviation safety committee... he's got an OMB director who's pushing a hiring freeze & saying 'I want to traumatize the federal workforce'"... he's got an anti-safety agenda..that's why he went the race-baiting route"

It is simply not enough for universities to say, “Our grants & research offices are looking into how research will be affected by the latest directive.” University leaders must actively and very publicly make the case for the kind of work many of us do. The silence on this front is deafening.

Trump's New Transportation Secretary Voted Against FAA Funding in 2019 During his last term in Congress, Sean Duffy voted to defund the agency that provides air safety

Ahead of the U.S. Senate’s vote to confirm Pam Bondi as attorney general, a coalition of more than 300 civil rights groups signed a letter to every senator urging them to vote against her confirmation. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

I missed this entirely: The FAA Administrator criticized Space X’s safety record and threatened fines. Musk demanded he resign. He did. On January 20th. www.thedailybeast.com/faa-chief-mi...

This was posted yesterday morning before the DCA crash. Prescient.

This is what government under oligarchy looks like.
