My MLB power rankings entering Opening Day: sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

If you are a Royals fan who only consumes content from local media, you probably think this team is a sure thing for the playoffs and flirting with 90 wins. If you are a Royals fan who only consumes content from national media, you probably think this team has no chance of playing in October.

My favorite MLB futures market might be which AL teams will earn a bye. That market will provide better value than division odds, and the AL is so wide open. I bet the Rangers (+350 for a bye & +1100 for the No. 1 seed) and Red Sox (+450, +850), but you could convince me on just about any team.

March is very weird in the NBA. This is a great piece explaining why.

Are you playing catch-up on college basketball ahead of March Madness? I can't recommend this YouTube channel enough. It offers scouting breakdowns on every team in the tournament. This is the type of content I crave. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wkA...

My favorite March Madness story every year.

The first MLB bet of the season was a winner (Dodgers' F5 ML), but I like the total in tomorrow's Game 2: sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

Baseball is back

The other place has already started the convo “did you know MLB was starting the season tomorrow during March Madness week?” while ignoring that: 1) A 6am ET baseball game isn’t for the average fan & also won’t stop you from watching hoops. 2) These matchups are about growing the game globally.

Fun story www.nytimes.com/athletic/619...

My summer is no longer ruined

The Yankees are still the favorites in the AL, but their odds moved at BetMGM after losing Gerrit Cole. World Series odds: +900 (was +800) AL odds: +350 (was +300) AL East odds: +165 (was +105) Win total: 88.5 (opened 93.5)

AL is wide open this year

Charles Barkley will win Internet points with NBA fans for (correctly) pointing out the TV coverage of the sport sucks. But don't ignore why he changed his narrative in the first place. He's been the biggest Lakers hater and refuses to admit that he might have been wrong.

Aaron Judge is the favorite to be this year's home run leader (duh), but his preseason price (+260) is shorter than ever before. So, is there value down the board? sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

This year's MLB Comeback Player of Year market is as compelling as ever. Mike Trout is the favorite in the AL, while Ronald Acuña Jr. is the NL favorite. But don't forget about some high-upside pitchers in both leagues. sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

MLB Reliever of the Year Odds & Predictions for the 2025 season: sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

Since MLB's Reliever of the Year awards were introduced in 2014, 17 of the 22 winners have ranked in the top three in their league in saves. All but two winners have posted a 2.43 ERA or better (the worst ERA is 2.62). Only three winners played on a team that didn't make the playoffs.

MJ Melendez is listed among the biggest bounce-back candidates via ZiPS. I'm starting to believe again. blogs.fangraphs.com/projecting-2...

I don’t fully understand the need for these face-of-the-league NBA conversations for a few reasons: 1. You can’t force it. It has to be organic. 2. It’s basically going to be an all-time great. 3. It’s so clearly Wemby after LeBron retires. What are we doing here?

Norman Powell, who has been out for nearly two weeks, can only miss four more games to keep his Most Improved Player hopes alive. That's why Cade Cunningham is now a -225 favorite to win MIP. sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/nba/...

Congrats to 76ers under bettors 😳

It’s too early to matter, but the Red Sox were favored in the 2026 ZiPS projections in this FanGraphs article about Vladimir Guerrero Jr’s contract. blogs.fangraphs.com/what-would-a...

37 of the last 41 NBA champions have won 40 games before their 20th loss of the season. Only 3 teams will fit that group this year: Cavs, Thunder, and Celtics.

The refs gave Luka a tech at halftime to remind you that they are still here in case you forgot after all the fouls they called in the first half. So glad I turned on my TV to watch them in a game featuring three of the best basketball players in the world.

I’ve watched a lot of Lakers-Nuggets games closely the last two years and let me be the first to say they all start like this. I know this can’t end with Jamal Murray hitting a game winner over AD, though.

This was perfect. Thank you for your service @baumann.bsky.social

I broke down the betting impact of yesterday's Wemby news, including why I cooked up a crazy long-shot parlay involving SGA for DPOY and Jokic for MVP (91/1). www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQxx...

Obviously Wemby’s health is the most important thing, but the NBA’s DPOY race just opened up. Latest odds at BetMGM give the edge to Jaren Jackson Jr.

Spurs have just announced Victor Wembanyama will miss the rest of the season:

NBA award favorites at BetMGM coming out of the break: MVP - SGA (-500) ROY - Stephon Castle (+120) DPOY - Wemby (-2500) 6MOY - Payton Pritchard (-160) MIP - Cade Cunningham (-125) Clutch Player of the Year - Jokic (+120) COY - Kenny Atkinson (-700)

I love that this game started with two full-court passes from these two passing wizards. The passing on this team is absurd.

I simply don’t care if people try in a glorified exhibition contest. I’d rather focus on the games that matter. But at least give us hoops when broadcasting an All-Star game.

What a bargain.

My new favorite way to back the Red Sox is an AL Manager of the Year bet on Alex Cora. I explain why and offer up some other MLB/NBA takes in this interview for the BetMGM Network: youtu.be/hzRjWxpIT2Q?...

The day after the 2024 MLB season ended, I highlighted the Red Sox as the best value in the World Series market at 40/1. They are now 25/1. The prophecy says they will lose in the ALDS. sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/mlb/...

HA, Luka just goofing off right now.
