We, very unexpectedly, had to say goodbye to my beautiful 5 year old cat this morning. I took him into the vets yesterday as he had an upset tummy, discovered he had a tumour and he was pts today as it had spread through his intestines and lymph nodes. I just can’t believe it. He was a great cat.

I loved Bagpuss, Bod and Mr Benn. I think the 13 episodes of each must just have been on repeat throughout the 70s and 80s. I took my kids to see a beautiful theatre production of Bagpuss at the Edinburgh Festival when they were wee and I actually cried.

Just heard a depressing fact on the radio: enable to run the computer infrastructure to support our digital world, we need 21 million litres of water every day to cool down one super computer centre! By 2050, with more centres, the amount of water needed will be 5 billion(!!). 🤢🤢🤢
