Only get a small selection due to poor signal and half of those glitch badly. Usually, I'm not missing much.

Quest? Never heard of it before now. Doesn't appear on my Freeview channel list unfortunately.

What a coincidence! About 21 years ago I had a horrendous experience in a KFC, and every time since.

But how much of the BBC's human written content contains factual errors? Or weird editorial opinions dressed as fact?

I know it won't last but it's a much nicer place without the majority of them.

Bet they were against increasing their business rates to pay for the free parking their customers use too.

SUV is such a broad term covering everything from a Fiat Panda 4x4 to a Range Rover and bigger. That's why it's difficult to discuss restricting SUVs. Size and weight is what matters if we're talking parking space and damage to roads and pavements.

The majority of Gen Z voters didn't vote at all. Over 50% of 18-29 year olds voted in 2020. It was 42% in 2024.

Nice stream of nonsense and misinformation from the ABD representative too with no fact checking done by the journalist.
comment in response to

Generally, the larger heavier SUVs that cause the damage cost more to buy so it's a reasonable assumption that if you can afford one, you should be able to afford the higher parking fee.

Best not. You'll have a coronary with all that shite food.

And we also can't see the TCN order or know if it even exists.

Voting for an idiot to be in charge isn't something "sound people" do. But here we are in 2025.

Oh. So sorry to hear this. Tailwinds for Tim.

Yes they are and more. You could just drive responsibly like your licence insists. 🤷♂️

Bit unfair if drivers are the problem. Would solve a load more problems other than cyclists being smushed if we got rid of motorists.
comment in response to

Roads are safe. Drivers aren't. Got it.
comment in response to
post
Of course roads are safe for bicycles. It's not until you add bad motorists that safety takes a tumble.
comment in response to

That's obviously bias on your part. Far, far more deaths and injuries caused by drivers of motor vehicles every year. Perhaps start there.

There's nothing progressive about this monstrosity. It's regressive. If someone buying this claims they are progressive, they really need to reassess their views on transport.
comment in response to
post
Of course I did. Why should we believe your 1 man survey from your driving wheel over those of TfL whose survey is quoted in the article, the police or what is written in the Highway Code which you've clearly not read in years.
comment in response to
post
Musk aside, these still deserve derision and mockery.
comment in response to

Why? So you can be wrong twice?
Your stats are made up. The police have got bigger problems to address and no, cyclists do not need to wear hiviz at all times.
comment in response to

Making up your own stats and your own rules. Well done.
comment in response to

Carlton does actually make that comparison in the article based on TfL figures.
comment in response to

The article literally links to the Transport for London survey. You did read the article yes?

A mini is 10ft long. That truck is another 5ft and 8 inches longer. Even a modern mini is 3ft shorter.

Supposedly it's from a method of voting in ancient Greece so no, not coffee beans as they didn't have coffee till the Turks invaded in the 1400s a few thousand years later.
comment in response to

In Britain? Never ever heard that phrase. It seems to be an American phrase.
comment in response to
post
Not at all English. Most Americans would struggle with the beans not being coffee and it being ancient Greek in origin.
comment in response to
post
Brits do not use 'spill the tea'. Never heard that phrase and I'm British. I imagine most Brits would recoil in horror at spilling tea.
Presumably, whoever started 'spill the tea' doesn't understand that the beans in 'spill the beans' aren't coffee beans.

You'd think it would be much easier to do these days than the last time they tried. Standard 135mm Mahle x20 rear hub, battery in the monocoque frame. No fold in the middle like a Brompton to worry about.

Electric folding bikes seem to miss the point IMHO. You want something light and compact.
