Creators often fall into the “I need to pivot” trap in their businesses, when they really need to stick to their one thing. We feel insecure about what we are doing, and think we need to play in a new space, or in every space.

Most creators focus on the wrong metrics when building their business. They chase followers and content volume, missing what actually drives sustainable success.

Most creators don’t think about how they use their time when building their creative business. That’s why I admire how @jay.blog navigates life as a creator and a new dad. Recently, he shared how costly it’s been *not* to be 100% dialed in when it’s time to work.

"I always expected the first few weeks of Trump’s second term to be bad. But I did not expect to watch Trump and Elon Musk take a flame-thrower to the American government while congressional Democrats engage in the political equivalent of ASMR videos." thehill.com/opinion/camp...

seems like it is a big deal that the unifying ideology of the doge team is neo nazism

Two new podcast episodes out this week! One about writing a book with a full time career as a doctor (Dr. Luissa K is my guest). The big idea is the process is messy, long, and needs to fit your life and style. The other is about how creators that crush network, with the big idea being...

It's tough to create and be angry at the same time. I spent part of today paying attention to the news, and part of the day trying to focus and channel into good things in my business.

The #1 myth about creating with a full-time job... You think the reason you’re not creating is because you don’t have enough time. But that’s NOT the real problem. Here’s the truth: If more time was the solution, every full-time creator would be *crushing* it.

It sounds great to be your own boss until you realize you're way too nice to yourself 😅 For my business, I would treat deadlines like the pirate code, mere suggestions, that could be pushed infinitely. Why? Because I was flexible with my commitments to myself.

Trumps original sin this time around is the unconstitutionality of DOGE, right? No law gives DOGE authority, or federal resources. It’s blatant destruction of congressionally establish organizations and spending. Pretending to have congressional power of the purse, etc. Am I missing something?

Ever feel like you have SO many content ideas but none of them actually get made? It’s not that you’re lazy. It’s not that you’re not creative. It’s that you have no urgency.

To all those saying "shouldn't we root out government inefficiency? What's wrong with DOGE?" a quick background on Constitutional law and why the WAY it is being violated exposes the true motives of the criminals:

You’re an amazing father, Elon.

Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. If you’re fainting from exhaustion, something’s wrong. A YouTube creator I know passed out after a 3-hour live stream. No breaks. No water. Just pure grind.

Hey creators, what are your current top struggles, outside making your thing? For me: 1) It’s feeling like I should be doing more, in more places. Even if I’m struggling with podcasting + coaching each week 2) Reaching out to peers and folks in a way that feels cool and not awkward

(1/2) Most creators struggle with self-doubt, burnout, or lack of direction. What if you could create a mindset that serves you, consistently, every day, in three easy questions?
