Thanks for sharing, just applied for the conference & idk if I would’ve known it was open otherwise.

My family just returned to the place where my husband and I went on our babymoon (Charleston, SC)

When I was in TV ages ago, there were local, independent companies that could send a copy of any broadcast program for a fee. TV t stations also archive their news programs, but you’d have to convince someone to hand it over

Here’s to the wild ride 2025 has in store! Here's a photo of me on a Multi Axis Trainer at Space Camp, it encapsulates what I expect from the new year.

🌎for 2025, I want to write more sustainability stories after learning from Cornell’s Sustainable Destination Management program. 🌎I plan to write stories that inspire travelers to pursue niche interests & take kids on big adventures. All while supporting local and indigenous communities.

📝I wrote about personal experiences, including when I showed up to a family reunion not knowing any of my relatives, and taking my parents to San Miguel de Allende. And I have a few more stories that I’ve finished writing. Hopefully they’ll publish before the end of the year! 🤞🏽

📝My stories were syndicated in MSN, Yahoo, AOL and USA Today. Also into local outlets such as the Miami Herald, the Sacramento Bee, & WXIA in Atlanta. 📝I wrote two magazine articles, first, an ancestry travel story for Southern Living and the second, a gem of a restaurant for The Local Palate. ⬇️

Sleeping less so humans can work more MUST be the final level of late stage capitalism

I may be the only one who likes this? Unless there are excessive notes. But I’m fascinated with what the previous owner connected with

Thanks, Cheryl! I write a monthly-ish column for TFS on Atlanta. But hey! @hannaraskin.bsky.social I didn’t know you were here too 😊

I don’t see widespread Gmail outages, the servers just don’t like MY Gmail at the moment. I’ve tried checking from different sources, recovering data, all the things

Once I got off the main roads, I saw where recovery is still taking place. I talked to a neighbor building a new bridge on his property because the creek on his farm damaged the old one. But restaurants, hotels, coffee shops— those are all open.

It was great! I met a ton of people & walked away with an assignment from a new-to-me publication. Probably the most fun conference I’ve attended since tours are baked in. Happy to talk more about membership, DM me if you’d like.

Good excuse to go back!

Early bird all the way. I don’t mind waking up earlier, but I’m exhausted by 4:30 pm and that’s… not ideal haha

Yeah, that sounds rough indeed! I think my excitement for being in a new place wills me awake in a new time zone, but now that I’m home I’m not adjusting back to my routine well.

That’s very cool! I made my first lemon balm tincture but have yet to try it. My thing is Hellenistic astrology. I love this practice bc it connects us to our earliest human ancestors. I bug all my loved ones with planet movements and have even predicted a few big personal moments
