It's intentional. Oligarchs want to squash all small businesses to eliminate competition. The goal in a fascist government is for all the riches to be concentrated in the oligarchy. There is no room for small businesses. Tariffs help accomplish this goal by bankrupting many small businesses.

What's the plan when he indefinitely postpones elections due to invasion/war? I keep hearing about how elections will be our savior, but I don't see any situation where this regime will allow free and fair elections. What are we doing to stop them from declaring war in order to postpone elections?
