Democrats have to balance the risk of using bandaids to ease the consequences of this regime with allowing the consequences to inflict pain as a motivator on those who need to show up to the polls in two years.

It’s independent according to an act of Congress passed in 1970. Add this to the lawsuit pile.

“The Internal Revenue Service has ramped up its efforts to recover unpaid taxes from millionaires. It collected more than US$1.1 billion from 1,600 wealthy Americans with known but unpaid tax debts in the 2024 fiscal year, up from just $38 million a year earlier.”

I don’t use it, but most providers use it to document attendance, communicate with parents, send invoices and receipts, and as a payment portal.

Yes, the USDA CACFP food program subsidizes child care meals for programs that sign up to revived subsidies. Many feel it’s not worth the trouble.

The children I fed yesterday enjoyed homemade chicken nuggets dredged in egg and whole grain panko, organic local steamed broccoli with butter, roasted organic carrots with a balsamic glaze, and organic basmati brown rice.

I agree that standards are important, but please do not paint all providers with the same brush as if they don’t have the integrity to serve nutrient dense food to children. The USDA serves agriculture, not children, as shown by the fluid milk requirement that Michelle Obama attempted to remove.

Providence work culture is toxic. Anyone remember this from last year?
33,000 hourly employees won more than $200 million after a King County judge found evidence the hospital system had willfully been shortchanging staffers for years through illegal timekeeping and meal break practices.

Dems are not acting helpless:
Liz Warren
Ron Wyden
AOC
Jeff Merkley
Patty Murray
Jasmine Crockett
to name only a few. A strategy will emerge. Did anyone really predict that M*** would do this? It’s only been 4 weeks.

Wow, a whole 3 people? Maybe the state of Oregon can spend money on election fraud prevention by protecting vote by mail and defeating any attempts at voter suppression and gerrymandering rather than focusing on statistically non-existent voter fraud.

Kansas almost went bankrupt when they elected leaders who eliminated their income tax.
What’s wrong with people in Kansas, and why do they keep voting against their own interests?

I worked for Toys R Us from 1983-1989. It was a really great job. There were so many employees, it was rare to find an empty shelf. Full time employment with health benefits, profit sharing, and pension. PT also received profit sharing and pension. We had 24 registers going during the holidays.
