Their Pride ban resulted in the largest Pride demonstration in Budapest. Mayor Karacsony: "Good evening Pride, good evening love! Well, I'm sorry, but you don't look like Pride was banned," "You look more like you came in peace and are free to give the bloated, hateful power a big middle finger."

The framing of Mamdani as some far-left radical is obscene. So is the fact that some Democrats are running scared of a talented, young politician who won without big money support based on his clearly common sense ideas.
Just shows how captured our politics are by corporate interests.

Zohran Mamdani had advertisements in Spanish, Bengali and Urdu that were *long* as well as funny, informative videos explaining stuff like what it took to get a $450 million relief program for cab driver medallion debt: bsky.app/profile/kare...

Least fav phrase from colleagues. "Well, that's above my pay grade." Honestly that is why thigs have gotten to this rotten point.

Yup. Because if it’s just going to be ‘we’ll put the one union guy on the governing board who will then be completely ignored because we’ve labelled them as the ‘dissident’’, it’s just going to repeat the failures of actual questioning and actual checks that have led us to where we are now.
