And if the barrier isn't resourcing, but is governance etc then you might not want to skip the governance! Governance is there to keep stuff safe.
comment in response to post
Because I guarantee the barrier in the NHS is resourcing

Oh that's a my brain wasn't functioning. It was a comparison of pro-inflamatory diet, showing it was bad! So bad diet + bad exercise is bad. Good diet and good exercise is good.

Can continue on chemo while on a transplant list. Risk it might not happen if neutropenic, but avoids progression on waiting list and 2y clock resetting.

You stroke their hair sometimes and say words about syringe drivers... 🧐?

Was there no wiki page for your topic?

Would you do this for every figure? As in, a 📉 or just a clever illustration figure?

And ggplot has to pay ;-)
comment in response to post
Do you think it might catch on? All seems a bit unnecessary when R has it's own plot() command 😕 (I'm joking)

...last few shortages I've been unable to find anything I could help with for months.

I've not given for over 20 years. They used to come to the hospital I worked at and it was incredibly easy. In a friendly supportive environment of your peers etc. Moved hospital. Never saw them again...

And if you are O- or AB+ they have some special slots. But if they are needing to increase their donor base, I fear they need to make it easier for people to donate who don't live next to a donor centre. Because I think people are happy to help, if helping is made easy

I happen to be off work this week, so I'm quite happy to head up to Newcastle if they are desperate. It does tell you to check places with Donor centres etc. I have left some "feedback" on their website.
comment in response to post
In reality when I move from searching by postcode and post codes of places I work, to searching using Newcastle - they have a slot available tomorrow. Their search engine is clearly an issue.

Or their lawyers want to be able to say not their fault. Of course if the restaurant industry pay people sick leave, people might not try and come back too soon... ... just saying ... You don't need a note in UK unless off >7 days, and people don't die in our restaurant

If it's a known time, and a confirmed case - you don't need a note to confirm you are now well. Most "mild" infectious diseases are never confirmed.

How does the physician determine if you are contagious?

And actually, there will be people who search out the posts with "don't share this" status on the basis of there must be something going on...
comment in response to post
... adding a feature that seems to prevent sharing (I'm pretty sure some email servers made that feature at one stage - 'no-forwarding' ... People just cut and paste!) you just lull people into false security
comment in response to post
And I think that was my concern, perhaps made a little bluntly. If you are posting something that you think "maybe I should disable the ability to share this" then you probably shouldn't be posting it... ...because your ability to control what happens next is next to zero...
comment in response to post
It is. But is probably a bit like if you put something on a notice board 30 years ago, people were relatively unlikely to have a camera and take a picture. Nowadays it's almost impossible they don't have a camera... So we probably should assume people might! (Will!)
comment in response to post
If I have something that is only to be shared with 10 or 20 people, I'm not sharing that via BSky. (Or at least not outside of a DM). Even if BSky had a don't share this function. BSky is like putting a notice on a notice board... Not like posting through a letterbox
comment in response to post
Because I can't see a scenario where there is a "don't allow reposting" that get close to preventing it. But I also don't know what scenario someone would want to tell the world something and not allow it to reach the world.
comment in response to post
Well the internet is full of people with no manners. So that won't work! But if you have something you don't want shared - probably the best thing to do is not put it on the internet?
comment in response to post
OK. That sounds good. But you have to have survived a 16% increase before someone delivers a 19%? And are we confident they aren't taking that 19% back by slashing the drug prices to less than market value?

Darren, I'm sure you are on the numbers much better than me... How much extra has been paid for the 170m items to be dispensed? I'm assuming it's SFA

For those who genuinely know they don't need ED, they will say they can't get an appointment at the GP. Fix GPs, Fix social care and magically ED will sort it's self...
comment in response to post
Many EDs have run with Urgent Care alongside for years. The queues go round the block for both. Patients don't know if the wound they have is life threatening. They just know they are bleeding.

..you fix the bed problem by (a) opening more beds (b) getting people 'home' sooner. Home often means with social care support. That's the broken bit. ..As for the headline grabber...

But in others I might purposely be excluding them from getting involved in the replies etc But the DM will be between me and someone else who does the same in return. No 🚩

It's amazing how different people are convinced they know how everyone else uses #SoMe. I might send a message to someone else specifically saying "have you seen this"? In some circumstances, I might tag them as a reply post.
comment in response to post
You don't want to share your content on #SoMe? 1️⃣ Don't post it on #SoMe 2️⃣ 🔂 I can screenshot the post even if you magically blocked sharing.

Not the first time I have seen a similar claim. Instill can't understand why a drug with a huge half-life would have a circadian effect...
