#CarCulture in Halifax is the street sweeper working its way down the Cogswell detour road, with effects that will go unnoticed by drivers. Meanwhile, the multiuse path is a chockablock full of mud, gravel, and detritus from the road and construction. Hundreds of people impacted every day.

The library being "the last real third space" isn't a reason to keep adding new responsibilities to the library; it is a reason to create more third spaces.

Normalize virus reports like weather reports. We appreciate weather reports even if they bring us bad news, as they help us plan ahead and avoid accidents. We need to stop being in denial about airborne viruses spreading. Sharing data helps us prepare and makes our lives easier.
