My first business trip to Honolulu, I showed up at the Blue Cross office in my suit and tie to talk about diabetes quality of care measures. The medical director immediately informed me if I wore a tie, no one would listen to me, so I had to shed it and the suit coat.

We need ACP, ABIM, NBPAS, & others to educate #MedSky on #LongCovid & #MECFS. These aren’t new conditions. They cause marked disability & impair quality of life. We really need #MedEd now. Many clinicians are still telling these pts they “just need to exercise.” /End

Thinking about all the patients w/ acute #COVID19 illness who were hypoxemic but not breathless & whose O2 improved w/ proning. All of this was a clue that such shunt physiology may be important in this illness (& sequelae). /2

I am overjoyed that Mellon has stepped in with funding to keep the state councils alive as we deal with the Scythe of DOGE. You know how critical these state councils are for small town, rural and underserved areas.
