it sucks, cuz it's still "reasonable" using this service to post stuff OUT of the UK, but it's downright impossible to order things FROM the USA cuz all of their postal services are prohibatively expensive. like you say, £8 + £20 shipping from the USA

Check Parcel2Go! if you go to the "send international" tab, long as it's fairly small package and under 1KG it's normally under £15 to send to the USA

so much stress, an the rise in shipping costs after, it pretty much ruined her business an was a huge loss overall to her.
She ended up closing up her shop an brand after that whole fiasco because her name was tarnished as "that person who took forever to get us our product"

A creator i follow and who i backed a kickstarter for, had the UNFORTUNATE timing of her kickstarter succeeding right before lockdown, the delays and factory closures meant her product took a year an abit longer than promised to ship out.

Little addendum, my very kind, funny, an talented friend @kokuma3d.bsky.social did us matchy matchy outfits, so we have been being EXTRA FRIGGIN GAY, SLUTTY, AN EXTRA over the last week or so.

Thats actually my only gripe with the Uni though, as when i finish playing with a tama, i pull the watch/puck batteries out so they dont explode in there. (both of the ones from the nano's i have corroded over time on the shelf)
And i dont like that i cant remove the Uni battery to stop that.

My first full evolution from the Uni, obtainable with some snacks from very berry land.
Ignoring his actual name, i dubbed her "Bread Dog" and loved this lil pookie.
I went through... 4? generations of the same like before i let the batteries die so i can pick it up again later.

i'm not ready for the tamagotchi connection rerelease happening soon. so soon after i got my uni!
but yea, the uni is great. i wish kinda that itsscreen stayed on all the time like traditional tama but get that it'd be terrible for the battery life.

i loved my uni, took it everywhere for like 3 weeks, its so nice. be sure to check the wiki for item codes for goodies for your lil guy an also get yourself sweet berry land for more items n places n games for it!
