It's less of a thing of being "overly familiar" and more literally some people not realizing "No means no".
Funnily enough some of the people that made me think of this post are like close friends that just KEEP forgetting that I really really don't like talking about that one thing or something.

This direct was the equivalent of someone putting multiple awesome cakes in front of me.
Thinking this day is gonna be amazing just for them to grab me by the back of the head, trying to put my face into a cake, just to miss and make my forehead hit the steel table right between the cakes.

I get the idea that there's people that heavily dance around a topic and people may be conditioned but I'm incredibly blunt and simple when I say for example
"Stop being all cuddly and snuggly with me"
"No I don't want to see your paw art"
"No I don't want to talk about topic that's making me sad"
