Republicans like to use the word "entitlements" to paint recipients of Social Security and Medicare as "entitled" in the way they would mean it if they were talking about a bratty teenager expecting a car for their 16th birthday but the word means YOU PAID FOR IT IN ADVANCE SO IT'S GUARANTEED

I mean, he had Black Lightning as Secretary of Education, so he did at least one thing right. Which is yet another difference between him and Musk.

Huh, I guess all the silliness with the wizards kinda overshadowed that for me. But I love how there's something for everyone in this series. And I've read a couple of Discworld books that I absolutely loved since then. Hopefully I'll get to posting about them in the next couple days!

This is also why I don’t think journalists should allow people to use “woke” without forcing them to provide a specific explanation of what is meant. Too much focus on racial justice? Too much focus on LGBTQ tolerance? Make them say it. Because to be blaming marginalized folks for what’s happening…

The funny thing about this thread was realizing that I had almost every comic that you showed here, aside from some of Quasar and the later Cap stuff. (A big fan in the 80s, I didn’t read any Marvel in the 90s.)
