Another Prussian blue ink figure from Sunday #figuredrawing #inkdrawing #art

Since folks are celebrating Bluesky's longer video capabilities with this particular clip, I'd highly recommend you read @ashleyspencer.bsky.social's glorious & delightful oral history of Tom Holland's "Lip Sync Battle" performance www.businessinsider.com/tom-holland-...

Finally pulled the Prussian blue ink out again for yesterday's figure drawing session #figuredrawing #inkdrawing #ink #art

Experimenting with a new jumbo brush pen. I really like it. #figuredrawing #lifedrawing #inkdrawing #ink #art

Today's watercolor I did in a workshop with Birgit O'Connor. Overall pleased. I could work on a few more things but I might just do it over again to practice the techniques. A bit of a departure for me since I like working more loose #watercolor #art

happy birthday to women

"Solidarity with women's struggles all over the world." Poster by See Red Women's Workshop for a women's day march on 8 March 1975. #IWD2025

Quick sketch with the plein air group at Oakwood cemetery in Raleigh #sketchbook #watercolor #art #pleinair #urbansketching #usk

Finishing all the projects today. So glad this weaving is done. Now I have my painting table back 😀 #weaving #fiberart #art

Finally framed and mounted the two "garden" cross stitch projects. The mud room is getting kind of chaotic but I love it 🙂 #crossstitch #gallerywall #fiberart

cats being cats

I painted this watercolor of Oia, Santorini a few weeks ago and finally had a chance to take a proper photo of it. Not sure why I haven't painted much of Greece yet. I definitely have enough reference images 😄 #watercolor #greece #santorini #art

Happy Mardi Gras! This article shares how I made my king cake this year #cooking #cooksky

Challenging myself to sketch every day - doing more illustration so I don't have the pressure of realism. Today's prompt was "treehouse" from a set of ideas/videos from Mike Lowery. Also a nice was to use up some watercolor palette "dirt". #sketchbook #illustration #ink #watercolor

Just posted my first newsletter for NC Art Meets! If you're in the Raleigh-Durham triangle area and interested in live art events, check out the newsletter and the website: ncartmeets.com buttondown.com/nc-art-meets... #art

From yesterday's figure drawing session. Was trying out a new Tombow brush pen

Just finished - highly recommend #booksky Short and simple but its simplicity is powerful for understanding composition and storytelling within a picture. The simple paper-cutout illustrations help convey the concepts well. I'll be returning to this often in my work. bookshop.org/a/105516/978...

First plein air painting of the new year. Went out to join the Raleigh plein air group #watercolor #pleinair #art

Happy Mardi Gras! Celebrating from afar with homemade king cake 👑

Sketchbook blob monsters. Fun idea from Mike Lowery #sketchbook

One of my favorite illustration artists is on Bluesky now - so happy! I forgot who has the NC artists starter pack - would be good to add Kristen

Illustration class just ended and these were my projects. Was fun to switch it up.

Some ink on book leaf I made in yesterday's figure drawing session #figuredrawing #inkdrawing #art

Starting another weaving - this one is going to be wider and shorter #weaving I can't take credit for the technique - from an old Crafter's Box workshop that I finally got around to doing 🙂

Finally finished this root vegetable cross-stitch. Been debating where to put it in the house and how to frame it along with the tomato one I did a few years ago. I'm thinking the mud room where I have seeds and garden gloves. #crossstitch

Using the flat iron to straighten these tassels 😄 Also finally finished the sweating weaving #weaving

Dogs in snow ❄️

Illustrated one section of Cavafy's poem Ithaka for illustration class. My Greek handwriting is horrendous though 😅. Ink and watercolor on paper. #illustration

Huh, look at that. I have been posting on Instagram for almost ten years with close to 2500 followers. I have been posting on Bluesky for three weeks with about 500 followers. Compare the results on equivalent posts. Unless you're making videos or are awesome, Instagram is a total dead end. #art
