I would not frame it as fascism or an overthrow of democracy. I would calm down and think about it.
I’d see people as people - mostly good. I’d step back from social media and realise we’re basically fine.
Finally I’d realise that democracy is working and I find a better hobby. But here I am.

There is no way that it is fair for a male-bodied person to be on a sports pitch with a woman in a contact sport.

I think it will self sustain like Tumblr. Insignificant and a place people think matters. There is a left wing mindset that things will come back - I see it in counterculture thinking from the 60's, socialists post McCarthy, never-Trump Republicans. Everyone needs their place.

To paraphrase an old saying - Facebook is a mall and X is the street. You can run into anyone on X but sometimes it’s nice to go to the mall.

If you are still planning then get Ethernet from your router too.
Lastly ask the installer if you can fit a controller with a PIR. This will switch off the heat pump when you are not in the room (after a few minutes) this will save more energy than any difference in COPs.

I work mostly commercial but Mitsubishi and Daikin are the big boys. If you can afford them get them.
Otherwise Toshiba, Samsung, etc are great.
Get a wall mounted as portables suck long term.
Try and get a WiFi controlled one.

Vibes with my thinking that the 80's are back but the Cold War is not just Woke v alt-right, i'm hoping to see a return of the sub cultures bubbling away till they come up with post punk, hip hop, John Hughes teen movies, glam hair and freedom for youth.
