Someone chucked a big plastic child’s bike seat onto the ice this morning. I tested the edge of the ice with a rake. Crunch. Oh, no. I fling the rake out to knock the seat closer. And find myself holding the rake’s plastic end with the hook which has popped loose. Rake on ice. FML. (1/2)

A judge has ordered these miserable little shits - Sywert van Lienden, Bernd Damme and Camille van Gestel - to pay at least €20M. 🎉 In 2020, they routed money for face masks away from a non-profit and into their own company. The Christian Democrats need to answer for their involvement though.

Just had a couple of students at the door playing that swapping game where they have to trade with strangers for items of increasing value. They were surprised we already knew the game. 😄 Anyway, we now have a tall green vase and they have an almost new pair of Timbaland boots. #Leiden

Shrewsbury biscuits, the Mary Berry version, not the Aotearoa NZ one. Not the simplest to make but anything else after the 120+ Anzacs I baked this week. 😂 Then I used the residual heat from the oven to keep the French toast for lunch warm and felt like a genius.
