That is certainly a series of algorithmic decisions that were made.

Not a surprise, given that the title includes both "may" and "suggest". Though I suppose they could have fit in one or two more hedging words!

"Oh, hey, this character has artifacts, cool! ...wait, they're all level 0 and clearly the bottom of the barrel." "Why can't I level this u-- oh, I'm out of Mora. ZHONGLI~~~~~!" *frantically takes notes on characters I mugged artifacts off of*

Also there was some outdoor event where everyone had their cats and I was carrying one of my cats around? Dreams are so strange.

the second floor of a building and literally had no idea how to get outside from where I was. I needed to find the operations manager because some critical door or drawer or something was broken and my friends running the witch potion booth needed something out of it. /

Yeah, the only complaint I have about the people is that the faces can be a bit stiff, but it's a small price to pay for them reading as "real", and didn't impact the story. And all these people have reason to be on the stoic side of things.

It's really good.

It is a very good game, but it is a lot about slow life gardening on a boat.

Hello Kitty's emotionless eyes on the left bottom side of the package, but apparently the Care Bear on the right is totally into it.

I was just mentioning to one of my coworkers that we should remind our new hire not to come in on Monday, since pretty much every tech worker comes in on a holiday at some point in their career. I certainly have!

Part of the problem is that everyone wants to be an influencer and make money off of their hobbies. I feel like a major part of the gift/collective nature of the Internet in its early days has been lost.

Blue Prince. One of the trophies is to complete a final exam. It has eight subjects with 46 questions in total.

Literally most of my gaming time tonight spent on passing a fantasy final exam in a game. ^^;;

I've gone back and read some of my older drafts and I am 100% sure I wrote it, but I'm like "Who wrote this? It's good? Couldn't be me."

True, but I think there are fewer interesting books in Latin. (Interesting to me being "fiction", and Hebrew having its thumb on the scale because it's not a dead language.)
comment in response to post
I bounced off Hebrew... orz Not sure Latin would be any better.

NGL, when the Pope first got up on the balcony and started speaking I thought "Oh, yeah, I'm not going to understand a word of this. I should have predicted that."

Latin was the real Esperanto all along?

One of the "on this day" photos from today. I was like "uh, that does not look like it was safe." Cats are remarkably resilient to falls, though!

Me: "Yeah, that's going to be important." [I'm sure. Follow-ups always are. *desperately, but surreptitiously, crane head to see their badge; name not visible*] Person: "I'll set up a meeting for later this week?" Me: "Oh, yeah, that'd be great." Person: "Great seeing you again!" Me: "Same here!"

*at work* Person: "Oh, hey, siliconrose!" Me: "Oh, hey!" [Oh, shit.] Person: "About that thing the other day, you really saved me." Me: "I'm so glad to hear I was able to help!" [What thing?!?] Person: "So, I was thinking about follow-ups."

Heh. Yeah, the "What do you call someone who graduated from medical school at the bottom of their class? Doctor."

I'm definitely for them fighting against the administration's encroachment on academic freedom, it's just that my initial assessment of someone's academic chops if all I know about them is "this person is a Harvard PhD" took a significant hit based off the Navarro association.
comment in response to post
I think Navarro is technically an economist, it's just that being an economist doesn't guarantee that you're sane. I'll admit my views on Harvard were about as extensive as "Apparently they're supposed to be a good school", but my opinion of Harvard graduates has dropped precipitously.

This is definitely true, but this has been my superpower for a decade and a half now. Many devs appear to be surprisingly bad at the two skills of 1) distilling the interesting part of the error and then 2) putting it into a search engine in a way that produces useful results.
comment in response to post
I'm often surprised by how bad other devs are at Googling things. The number of other people's problems I've root caused by simply sticking the error message in a search box...

Oh man, no more BLM "surprise, I'm the tank now!" on raid bosses?
comment in response to post
This sounds like a one run thing, but no, like a quarter of the WHMs would do this, then rant at the off-tank about how they were bad at their job for not being able to immediately get aggro after the WHM turned themselves into a full time hate sink.

I fondly remember trying to PUG T13 in DF and having the White Mage blow the max level Medica (i.e. Big Beefy Regen) after the big full party hit... right before the new add spawned that the OT had to run to pick up. It went about as well as one would expect, including the post-wipe meltdown.
