The idea of these plaques was to memorialize some of my favorite lines from Across the Sun while showcasing the different characters. They look good but are a bit difficult to read unless you're up close. Printed on resume stock and taped to lucite blocks. #crafts #quote #art

Talking about screenplays: Part 27 of 28. Wondering which #vintage #play would be best served by a modern #remake or retelling. Plenty of new titles coming to Silk Rhode Books very soon, so we've got time to think about it! #booksky

Oh wow this is cool. I endeavor to be able to have enough Silk Rhode Books characters published to support an ensemble image like this.

Y'all, I tried ironing perler bead art for the first time. Didn't realize some of the beads I had were "the wrong kind" and not hollow through. LOL, well, I tried. Vintage Aeden (from Across the Sun) got done dirty, I'd say. #nailedit

Talking about screenplays: Part 26 of 28. In the United States, copyright law is basically the author's entire life plus 70 years until fair use applies. Looking forward to someday working on a #remake or two of some #vintage works for modern audiences. #booksky

Just want to say it is my absolute privilege to work with @sbristow87.bsky.social, who is creating the official promo artwork for Silk Rhode Books' latest YA fantasy novel, Across the Sun. The book is available now but the second edition is coming very soon. It'll look like this 🤩

Talking about screenplays: Part 25 of 28. Let's explore the script itself and the accompanying sheet #music to go with the play. Not to be outdone, the original performance is right here on #cassette tapes. Great title too, "Tickling Grandfather's Ear". #booksky

Talking about screenplays: Part 24 of 28. Digging into a collection of personal copies from Connecticut playwright Peter de Vries. Gotta love a good #musical, especially one that meets the #truecrime variety. Could "Murder for Susan" be that play? #booksky

A movie that takes place where you're from

Talking about screenplays: Part 23 of 28. Talking about the #TV show #Lost again, specifically the #pilot episode. To me, it's always interesting to read a pilot to see the intentionality of the characters, and then how they adjust with the actors' strengths as the show goes on. #booksky

Talking about screenplays: Part 22 of 28. Found a #romcom script vehicle for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey, something called "Failure to Launch". I discuss my appreciation for SJP not from #sexandthecity but rather from her earlier roles. She's terrific. #booksky

Talking about screenplays: Part 21 of 28. Getting my desert movies sorted out. Fine, so Three Kings is a different movie than Sahara, I guess. And I checked; they did spell Clive #Cussler wrong, lol. #booksky

I just finished prepping another batch of books for ebay, and part of that process is leafing through them for anything sandwiched in the pages. No money this time, but found a cool traveler's cheque receipt from the #80s. #books

Talking about screenplays: Part 20 of 28. What is the ideal medium for adapting a script in the action genre? #Heroes on NBC was definitely a thing, though I never watched it nor could tell you a single detail about it. #booksky

Talking about screenplays: Part 19 of 28. Checking out Cruel Intentions. (Confession: I never saw the movie.) That said, I spotted the "autographs" of Ryan Philippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Selma Blair, which made me hangry I think. #90s #booksky
