I grew up in the suburbs of San Francisco in the 70s. I remember walking picket lines with my dad. I remember my orchestra teacher who drove a purple Porsche. I wish the world was as kind as I was taught it should be.

Autism is genetic . The increase in diagnosis is due to greater understanding and testing availability. Plain and freaking simple.

I am dreading the moment ICE shows up at my work. I work with many people who may or may not be legal. I don't ask. I don't care. They are nice. They do their job. They pay taxes. They support the local economy. I know I will get in trouble. I have a bad habit of sticking up for people being bullied

I so feel that. I work third shift and have been dealing with a sinus something. Every day I say "today is Friday, right?" Nope. It's only Wednesday. Sigh

As the mostly civilized daughter of a redneck farmers son, petty bitch is a well deserved honorific. I try to keep mine contained. But lately she's been wanting to stretch her legs. Lol.

I have not the words to describe my anger and dismay. It is time for this shift to stop. One way or another.

Well then..... he needs to find a job he can do. Since this one obviously isn't it.

Ummm subsidizing what? With what? He contributes nothing to society. He may "own" businesses (his shareholders and finances may disagree) that society uses, but he makes money off them. And pays no taxes. Makes no humanitarian donations. He is a wart on our world that needs to get burned off.

To be honest, as horrible as it sounds, that would be a relief. Out of the 5 years we have been married he had spent the last three in a hole of despair. Beginning to think he only married me for my real estate. Which I have lost because of moving to Kenfucky for his mom.

My husband is on antidepressants, antipsychotics, and semaglutide. He has horrible treatment resistant depression and has gained 130 pounds with depressive eating. The meds control his suicidal thoughts and violent anger. I don't know what I will do if he doesn't have those.

He raced at the International Speed Trials on the Bonneville Salt Flats. Held a record in 2 classes in the 80s. It was 4 years almost to the day from 'hmmm... something is wrong' to good bye. Many people didn't see it until he was so far gone it was obvious and he couldn't mask it anymore.

My dad had behavioral ftd. He was a functional alcoholic that was a machinist for the airlines for 32 years. He had his own machine shop and built race cars for a hobby.

Not all dementias present the same. FTD is not Alzheimers which is not TBI induced which is not stroke damage, etc. They all present differently and run different time lines. He may very well be in a later stage. Or even a mid stage. Many dementia patients can mask well into the mid stages.

It's a stupidity thing. It's kinda funny in a sad way.... They think they are being smart. Don't you know? Standardized medicine is a scam.... I can't even begin to understand what goes on in their heads. Not much is my best guess.

I am curious.... I had to prove all that to get my real id. No kidding... Birth certificate, marriage licenses, 29 page divorce decree that didn't have my maiden name so I used a child's birth certificate... I am already registered.... What the fuck more do they want?

I hadn't even considered all those "older" ones. Been keeping up on COVID and flu and got shingles shot. Was planning pneumonia next. But living in kenfucky I guess I might need to.
