I had one booked and said to my wife 'would it be a faux pas if I asked the massage therapist to "fuck me up"?'

I, less charitably, referred to it as 'resting twat face'.

I love Blade Runner 2049, but his fucking face I swear. He always looks like he's just about to smirk.

Nope! In fact more recent remix versions have his vocals removed completely.

I genuinely didn't listen to them properly for years because I thought the rapper was in the band and so on all the songs.

No one is meant to produce anymore, no one to search, no one to read. We’re just supposed to consume pre-chewed algorithmic output, generated from what already exists, to serve a rentier logic of data extraction and attention economy. It’s the end of thought as a social activity.

Interesting! As I understand it her work is often transgressive.

Amazing piece. I think I started listening in 2011. His ability to engage with directors and authors and understand their work has been really important for me, and arguably underrated.

For a while there I thought we were part of this long progression of history to a more enlightened place. Now I've realised we're just in another slide towards fascism and this shit just cycles round.

I find in general sometimes they're just really off. At the last PPV there was clearly a stand off between Osprey and Page where they were attempting a duel of blade and lariat...and they just didn't catch it in a way that lessened the impact.

That's very nice of you! The mixes aren't quite done yet but I'll let you know when it is! Btw, that BT one such an incredible album, the track Every Other Way beautifully deconstructs the and reconstructs the idea of a song both structurally and in sound design. But the whole album is great.

The FF7 Remake felt like a less quirky, overstimulated mess comparatively, from what little I played. Or maybe I'm just old.

I actually love the second one, its much more futuristic in the 90s Cyberpunk dystopia way that I love, with amazing (bad) computer graphics. Definitely a worse film though, but I don't let that get in my way 😅

Both it and its sequel are top tier. The shittier the 90s Cyberpunk movie, the better.

There's a band called Pain of Salvation, whose early albums are metal, progressive, and melodic; the lyrics are literary, and the music sophisticated. The singer has an inhuman low and high range. I always thought its the perfect Lestat band. The Perfect Element and Remedy Lane albums especially.

I'm firmly in the 'Lestat would be prog rock/metal' camp, which may be a camp consisting entirely of me.

There's so much better fantasy out there, for children too. Fucking expand your horizons. I was a fan of David Eddings as a kid until I realised it's racist crap that doesn't hold up. Grow as a person.
