You know, Scar was much like the Orange Bum. When he took over the Pride Lands, he let the lands rot. Soon, no food, no water, and no leadership. Sarabi said, "Let's leave."
Scar said, "We're not going anywhere."
- "Then you have sentenced us to death!"
- "I'm the king, I can do whatever I want." 😤

A question that NEEDS to be answered if anyone is to maintain their sanity for the next few months (such as myself).

I feel like Dems have ultimately failed Black people like me for the past four years, and this proves it. I'm a Democrat -- always have been, always will be -- but it's hard not to notice how little we mean to the party. Obama's election in 2008 pissed off the White hierarchy...

So am I. You'd think after the traumatic election loss last November and the hollow calls to "keep fighting the good fight", Dems would've understood our exhaustion right now. What happened to fighting "the existential threat to democracy"? We're talking bipartisan instead? Seriously?
I am floored.

YES. None of the Dems should've attended. I'll bet bringing the fired federal workers did nothing either. MAGA is full of misanthropes who see no value in human life -- that's how they can look into the eyes of these people and gaslight the hell out of them.

Not to mention he is adopting an obvious Mafia-esque agenda. He gives offers that nobody has a right to refuse; they accept, they're toast. They refuse, they're toast.

If you're talking about Trump, don't feel bad -- honestly, it is DAMN difficult NOT to hate the jerk. Guy thinks his reality is the ONLY reality, that the universe revolves around him. He places no value on any human life; when even his loyalists become useless, he'll give them the axe.

I just heard. And as a victim of racism and ableism (I'm Black and have struggled with anxiety and depression since age 15), it hurts. Being Black is a curse in America. No right to protest, no right to call out corruption, no right to LIVE... a GUN has more rights than a Black person in America.

JD Vance is a two-faced opportunist who follows the power. He owes Trump for making him a senator, so he sold his soul to him. He no longer has an identity and is an attack dog bullhorn for his emperor. I mean, just look at how he gaslit Zelynnsky last Friday... AMBUSH, period.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm tired of feeling like I'm not guaranteed a peaceful life. After seeing how Jordan Neely's murder was celebrated last December, I'm worried; I've been singled out for being Black and being "awkward" many times, and it hurts. NO to racism and ableism.

Sadly, you're 100% right. Invoking the 25th wouldn't end the nightmare. In fact, given that JD and Johnson are more articulate in MAGA-ese than Trump, we'd be in WORSE trouble. Sharp-minded malignants are deadlier than dull-minded ones. 😔

Sadly, you are 100% correct. I hate to say it, but I'm seeing a very disturbing "eugenics-based" agenda here. They've even disowned their constituents; it's like they want a nation entirely populated by malevolent billionaires. Everyone else bites the dust. I know, it sounds crazy...

Yes, he does. And this is coming from a 38-year-old Black man with anxiety and depression who assists the disabled and has witnessed venomous racism and ableism in my own city.
Being born Black is NOT predestination to be gun fodder for red-capped nutjobs.

I agree. And whatever happened to invoking the 25th Amendment? Ex-GOP Gordon Humphrey suggested such in 2017 when he rightfully assessed how millions of Americans would die due to Trump's impulsiveness about nukes.
Of course, he got away with the mass deaths from Covid...

I'm hearing Congressman Al Green was removed from the House Chamber because he spoke the truth about Trump having no mandate? Wow. This admin is forcing us to accept utter dystopia.
WHAT mandate? Trump killed the American Dream! End of story.

I guess what I'm asking is, what can I do to show my distant friends I'm there for them? I have my own personal issues (dealing with ableism and racism, as I am Black with anxiety and depression) and can't always be on the phone.
Thank you for listening, though. Again, it is an honor.

Sorry, BlueSky has a character limit of 300 characters...
I'm worried about my Texan friend (she is a Democrat); one of my other friends almost took his own life as a result of last November's election, and though he's doing better, he is still emotionally spent. It's all one big mess...

It's me again, Madam Congresswoman. My friend lives in a mobile home, but she's surrounded by MAGA voters. She's been homeless several times. We have each other's numbers, but I live in another state and can't do much for her...

Hi, Congresswoman. It is an honor to be able to talk to you here. A friend recommended BlueSky to me. But, to business:
I have a dear friend in Texas who is scared to paralysis of the level of MAGA hate. I'm at a loss at how to help her, as I live in California...

Agreed. Totally agreed.
Hey! I've been reading a lot of your posts on Medium.com, and I'm amazed by your no-holds-barred, truth-to-power approach. Keep it up, we need powerful voices like yours to ruffle up the meandering sane-washing out there by mainstream news media outlets.
