Wow, I didn't know that. Guess I have some solid reading to do. Thank you.

I didn't know different banks, different states, had different money. Honestly, I never really thought of it. When was it changed into all one type?
Sorry if my wording is off, trying to figure this out, all new to me.

I'm in awe of the things that have been found recently. More and more we are learning so much about those who came before.
Colonialism pisses me off to no end. When one group maligns another and are nasty just to show superiority it disgusts me.

I obviously can't read today! LOL
I love days when Hubby works from home. It makes so much sense for so many.

I love you. You mean so much to me.

Exactly!
Further, I'm finding people who are interested in more than politics! It seemed like the only thing people discussed there.
I don't care about numbers. I just like meeting interesting people and learning things. Guess I'll never be an influencer. Bummer! NOT!

Do people care about these things? I enjoy meeting new people, discussing interesting things, and hanging out, but to get bent out of shape over people not following back, low follower numbers and all that stuff makes no sense to me. That might be why I never had big numbers over there, don't care.

I'm also an expert-level hermit, especially in the winter.
What is your woodworking niche? I'm always looking to have pieces made. I'm a fibers girl, wood isn't my forte.

It took us this long to figure out their cement, and we still haven't figured out their muslin (which I want), which shows that even with all our technology, we are no smarter than them.
For me tablet weaving proves they were not just necessity mother of invention.
Ugh, ancient aliens. YUCK!

Birthdays coming up, so they will be 6, 3, and the baby is 8 months. All boys, so no pretty dresses but they are all amazing kids and so much fun!

Hello!
I didn't name him but it suits him. We do medieval living history so he is well-known in our area. He looks a lot like Falcore from Neverending Story.

It popped up when I put her name into Amazon.
I've ordered two sets of the books for the holidays coming up. We were just lamenting holiday shopping last night so that helps us a lot. Greatly appreciate it.

I read your bio which is why I had to mention Dragon. He's staring at me trying to convince me to go out in the rain.
I was joking with a friend in London earlier that the weather here today (Maine, USA) looks decidedly cliched UK. It's rainy and dreary with a bit of a chill.

I doubt it. Much of the time, but not always, they were sealed with beeswax and/or pitch to extend the life of the flask as well as keep the liquids inside.
Anyone who says they were idiots back then is clueless. I'm in awe of the creativity they had in creating.

Thank you! That means so much!
They are all adopted. My oldest is only 13 years younger than me and she's almost too old to have kids these days.
But I'm over 50, so I come by being an Oma naturally. That pic is about 5 years old.

Also have a little white dog (maltipoo) who is 15 and follows me everywhere. I can't take a tubbie without him in the room with me. He's very attached and doesn't care what project I'm working on, he needs me. He hates the sewing machine!

I just went and looked, she wrote one of my favorite series, Worst Witch! I'm even more excited now.
Hugs from a distance for making my day!

I have not but now need to check it out. Looks like something a couple of my kids need as I'm in Oma mode at this point.
Always looking for great books to share with them. My oldest is as tubbie-oriented as I am and has my youngest grandson.
Thank you for the recommendation!

I watched this one the other night and then again so Hubby could see. I adore both of those men and medieval history (I'm one of those SCAdians who is all about research and recreating anything with fiber I can find) so this made my day.
I'd love all your tidbits of info on a list of things.

I love being in the tubbie, it's one of my favorite places to hang out. If I had a tubbie like any of those, I might move in permanently. That one with the seat is fantastic, but I really like the fancy one in the upper right corner.
It's not obvious I have kids, is it?

I do have a medieval religion question if you have the time.

Hearing people say they don't want to see diversity on the fighting field (SCA) because there was none of that LGBTQ+ shit in medieval times makes me laugh.
It's easier to say something is medieval than do the research and understand. I love those rabbit holes and live in them.

I'm so glad you're here. You're one of the good ones and I'm glad you're here, standing by us, and fighting the good fight against the fascist scum heading for DC.

Still, as per usual, you're nicer than I am. I have many more words of choice for them and everyone who isn't fighting back against the tyranny we are faced with.

Agreed.
I'm so much more comfortable here. Knowing I will not be attacked for posting something that shouldn't cause a fight is refreshing.
Thanks for being you and all you do.

Growing up in the 70s/80s NH was idyllic. Raising my kids in Maine has been wonderful. Looking at the clusterfuck our world has become I'm terrified for my trans daughter and all my grands.
I'm more than concerned, I'm heartbroken. I expected so much better from Americans as a whole.

Why is Mordecai kicking Bob Holly on the pic?
It seems strange to me, which is why I'm asking.

While I agree, people obviously don't care or we wouldn't be in this mess.
