She does say in the article that he is getting weight loss injections and had had a bit of a style upgrade.

He goes to ridiculous hyperbolic strawmen to defend defying even the most obvious rulings. Typical bullshit that their idiot base eats up.

Yeah, long summer in Melbourne. Only the last two weeks have felt like autumn.

He can not bring himself to utter a bad word about Putin. It's interesting that Baier would even try.

She is more than unqualified. She is a malevolent, contemptible wretch

I'm sure they still find that their minds are often with the buttery males they often talk about.

Yep, that's the game. Dutton plays moderate trying to hold the moddle while the others openly court the right fringe.

Xi will be hoping Musk can influence Trump in China's fa our.

She really needs to just fuck off for a while.

You just know that several of them probably didn't.

In the short term, there is a lot of pain and turbulence coming. In the long term, there will likely be some benefits. The short-term hit and loss of global influence, respect, and trust make this not worth it.

The end game is to return as much manufacturing as possible to the US. It's a simple theory, make imports expensive and uncompetitive, and then people will turn to local goods. But the US is not self-sufficient, and will lose some global market share through retaliation.

As the Aussie Prime Ministerand treasurer have said, "it's an act of economic self harm"

Goldberg is behaving with integrity and in the national interest. Of course, MAGA don't recognise these qualities as not a single one posses them.

She wants to make sure they are sex offenders so she can be confident they are Trump supporters.

Exactly. If we retaliate, it is like putting a gun to our own heads. We need to slowly expand our reach into new markets and keep a cool head. We can also keep lobbying for an exemption. People need to keep things in perspective.

It is increasingly apparent that this deal is unlikely to be honoured - not only is Trump unreliable, but the contract provides the US an easy out. It's time to go grovelling back to France.

Trumps most trusted advisor is openly calling for the US to leave not only NATO but the fucking UN lol. She is holding on to a world that no longer exists.

At the risk of getting blocked, I want to ask an honest question. Isn't the whole reason we spearate male and female sports in the first place because men are physically stronger, generally speaking? That doesn't change if someone transitions and becomes a woman, does it?

It's so weak to do it this way. Own it. They are simply pathetic.

Hard to hear, but they may be right. The EU stands for democracy and peace. These concepts are incompatible with Trumps values and worldview.

As an Australian, I could not be more disgusted and repulsed by what what took place in the Whitehouse. Unfortunately for us, Europe is tied up in their own issues, and China is an even worse alternative ally.

Meanwhile, Trump is parroting Russian disinformation, gutting government oversight, and alienating allies at record pace. The only thing Vance was right about, was that Europe needs to boost defence spending. They now know those old commitments aren't worth squat under Trump.
comment in response to

Please. You are putting words in my mouth. Never said they were in par, just that this is how it starts. While Trump bends over for Putin on the world stage, you MAGA can comfort yourself with the delusion that Biden was somehow just as bad.
comment in response to

We will sadly bow to our new masters as we did to our old ones. The world needs to tell him to fuck off in unison.
comment in response to

This is how it starts. It is this incremental slide in standards most MAGA can't see. Slowly remove reputable news that calls out blatant lies and slowly install sycophants that toe the party line. A year ago, MAGA was telling me Trump knew nothing about project 2025. It is now being implemented.

Australia should be threatening the same thing. But we will bend our knee to our new American masters as we once did to our old colonial masters.

OK, but billionaires like Palmer and Rhienhart need to stop buying politicians and seats. Donation reform is unpopular when it's Teals being hurt, but what about more nefarious billionaires creating and funding political movements?

100%. We should all be able to do that. But people tend to hold Labor to an unachievable standard that simply serves the liberals narratives.

If you are looking for pragmatism, this is the wrong place for it. People here will be happy to see Dutton elected as long as they can say it was Albos fault for not being better.

He would have a lot more latitude if numpties stopped attacking random Jewish people. The sensitively meter on antisemitism is turned up to 100 thanks to them, making it politically costly to say anything on the topic.

If you swap the word white for black, it makes it easier to how it might cause offence. Wouldn't bother me as a whitey though
