I finally got off the pot and ordered one. Sorry it took me so long.

Fantastic! So you got a print AND an original too, or just a print?

First series was better than the second. Go read the book - that was very good and different enough to enjoy it anew.

So much to enjoy about this masterpiece. You did good kid, you did good.

I take it you've read Nextwave? That's some great art and fun stories, especially the front end of the short run.

Yup, I asked before I saw your name on the Nosebleed comic to be able to do the obvious Google search! Bought from your Etsy shop too!

That's amazing! How does someone go about contacting you about getting their own commission?

Yup, they're mine. Would happily add the Nowlan story if I managed to accidently rob a bank or similar. I got some other choice Nowlan pieces though, so I'm ok.

Agreed on Batman Black & White vol 1 being a high point of comics. Here are Kent Williams and Brian Stelfreeze agreeing with us both.

I hope you keep going with an entire riff on all things Kirby. Original Avengers line up, Hulk, Thor, and then the DC era of New Gods and Kamandi for good measure...delight our eyes!

I saw the original in person and was stupidly shocked to realize it was a painting. Brian is a master.

@pjbond.offregister.press I sent you an interesting email about the Shade pages. A little mystery to untangle!

It was great to meet you and @pjbond.offregister.press today! Thanks for all the stickers, and the bonus of the Shade pages. Or was the bonus the other way around?

Perfect reading choices.

Of those, I'd go Toth. I could look and marvel at that every day.

Great, that makes me super happy! Any Vertigo stuff would be awesome to see. As I’ll have a portfolio with me, I’ll bring some other goodies just for show too, if you’d like.

Hey Phil! I'm planning on coming to Genghis Con as it's local to me and I'll ask you, nicely, to sign these two originals I bought from you many moons ago. Any chance you can bring Shade pages with you (with Shade) or other cool original art? Happy to lighten your load for the trip back home.

I recently read the Batman Year One Artists Edition intro by David and he talks about how he worked with Richmond to get across what he wanted the colouring to look and feel like so maybe that's the misremembered part?

I KNOW WHAT THIS IS AND I LOVE IT!

Double the fun! Love your Shade covers.

Who did you commission? And also, that choice wasn't a choice.

Ghost Rider punching out Red Skull seems on point...

Got to say, that was a beautiful read.

Thanks! And yeah, @zandercannon.bsky.social really out did himself on that. Not what I could have ever expected, and brilliant for it.

I can play the Cannon game! Some commissions and a cover.

Eve Stranger was a fun read so I’m interested in something from that, and also Shade art too. I got a page from you years ago from that, but wouldn’t mind another.

Your stack puts my collection to shame!

Will you have any original art with you (please?) or take on any commissions either ahead of the show or during it?
comment in response to post
Yeah, we can't all get Gibbons Watchmen, Miller whatever, etc., etc., but there IS art out there. And if you want Watchmen art, commission an artist to do something for you!

You've got two hands, don't you? Both is the answer!
