Canadian Heathcare is not free as you well know. The cost for it is taken from Canadians in the form of taxes - just as it is for most of Europe. The taxes Canadians pay for healthcare are no different than insurance premiums Americans pay. You thinking its different doesnt make it so.

These are not insane ideas. The only reason so many people have to work in the Government are because of the regulations, it makes since to try to reduce them.
We aren't talking about laws, but the rules that agencies create to follow the laws. Some of those just make work inefficient.

Trump gets it now. He talks about draining the swamp, but he realizes that the people in the cabinet are just figure heads and the swamp actually runs the agencies. It doesn't matter who he picks, so it's loyalty first.

Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security benefits are paid from deductions on earnings not FICA (income tax). Veterans Benefits are a mandatory non-discretionary budget item. Since the top 10% of earners pay 76% of the revenues, they should be considered for tax cuts first.
