And yes, the game is going to be pretty "hard" sci-fi. So no FTL travel or communication. Not sure yet "how fast" you will be able to by researching new technologies- if fractions or close to c. So that means a trip could take 1000s of years and who knows what would happen on Earth in that timescale

Thanks, in the context of the game humanity is extinct and as a last ditch this AI is activated with the task of finding a new habitable planet.
So everyone's dead 😅 but it's necessary to keep the scope of the game feasible by a small team. Without humans there is no need to simulate that aspect.

Thank you! There is one difference though: in Seedship it was the ship who carried the survivors. In Sine Fine, the AI is physically located on a planet in the Solar System and it sends ships to explore other stars. Only when a suitable planet is found will the real colony ship leave!
