During the protests in Austin a couple years ago, cops were (allegedly) targeting people's heads with them, and killed several people doing it

About 16 months now I also love the chunky carabiner leash, but it does drive me nuts when he starts wanting to spin in circles, because it doesn't have a swivel 😅

It's like the foundational AWS exam, where you're just learning the different names that Amazon calls its products, which were all named by a marketing intern after a three-day bender.

The CISSP seems, to me, very much like rote memorization of terms and concepts. There's no actual skill involved here outside of regurgitation.

I had a coworker go on once about how Elon is a genius. I said no, he's autistic with a lot of money.

I've honestly been thinking about this. I have 300+ hours of PTO accrued, and I get another 4 and change every other week. I have enough PTO right now to keep that up through almost the rest of the year.

Now my wife is having to ask her boss to give her two weekdays off. So, not only will I not be there for my daughter three days out of the week, but I also lose weekends with my wife.

Zane used to walk her home every day. Now he's not here to do that. I am. I don't know what my next steps are here. I can try calling our union on Monday. My boss just responded to me and said this will be effective week after next. At least there's that.

Truth be told, I would rather work full days remote. But right now, it is more important to me to be there waiting for my daughter when she gets out of school. There are a lot of days I can barely keep it together. When I say this is important to me, I absolutely mean it.

Late this afternoon, I was notified via email from my boss that upper management has decided that I need to return to the standard schedule of 2 full days remote instead of the modified remote schedule I work now.
