Today I learned about Gastrocopta sharae, another cave-dwelling snail, this time from Brazil. I went down a rabbit hole when I learned that the "Shar" portion of the name deliberately references the goddess from the Forgotten Realms! Turns out, there are many snails named after fictional deities!

Recently found out Zospeum tholussum, a type of cave snail found in Croatia. They're absolutely tiny at a millimeter or so in length, and their shells are totally transparent!! What a world we live in!!!!

Besides the danger to planes, they are an enormous loud nuisance. No one should be allowed to fly a helicopter over densely populated areas in order to move a couple very rich guys around. Emergency responders and the military are the only ones who should be allowed to.

A nightmare. Our last landlord had upped the rent from 870 to 1500 for no reason other than she thought she could get away with it till we brought them to the RTB for RPZ violation. There's no more entitled generation than middle aged landlords and I'm fucking tired of them ruining everything

My grandmother is in the hospital. Physically, she's stable, but cognitively, she's deteriorated. We were never very close; I'm more worried for my mother and her sisters. She's my last surviving grandparent. 87 years old. I'll visit each weekend. Just hard to endure.
