I remember 15 years ago it was great to wake up to find you'd gotten an email. Now I feel like oh my god what can this email be, nothing good...!

It's pub day for my 2nd book of visual poetry, Classic Crimes. Thanks to the super humans at @sarabandebooks.bsky.social. They took great care -- from the paper that makes the images/text crisp & vibrant to the title page to collage outtakes scattered throughout. Support independent publishers!

‘SESAME STREET’ is coming to Netflix with new episodes and past seasons premiering later this year.

I love the look of old paper, the so-called yellowing, as if it were a living thing aging. When I'm plundering the free public bookshelves I open the older ones first to see what shades are taking over. I love using old paper in my visual poems. This one is from "Classic Crimes," out May 20.

For #smallpoemsunday, "A Moment to Consider" from my book Classic Crimes, which comes out end of next week from @sarabandebooks.bsky.social ! And to note for Mother's Day, the book is dedicated to my mom, who passed away in Jan. Amid final proofs, Sarabande generously let me change the page.
