Telesat decided not to move forward with the consumer market. They still do government, corporate and military operations. Definitely not around here. My work helped organizations secure LEO funding to expand access to FN communities but Starlink is the only option :(

All we have in Northwestern Ontario for low orbit satellite internet is Starlink (unfortunately). I think Northern Manitoba is the same issue. Northeastern might have more options because of their proximity to Quebec?

My issue with Starlink being removed is there's no alternative in the North and it's how a lot of First Nation communities are getting access to internet (and better access to health care and education). We need alternatives.
