Enough. I can no longer stand listening to 'The Nick Robinson Show' on Radio 4. Why doesn't someone tell him, it's not all about him! #Today #Radio4 #insufferable

“Copenhagen reported that 62% of its residents are now commuting to work or school by bike — an increase from 52% in 2015 & 36% in 2012, when the City Council launched a 14-year-plan to improve the quality, safety & comfort of cycling.” #Copenhagen chose. They keep choosing even better every year.

⚠️Wolverhampton School of Art is under threat! Designed 1966-70, the nine-storey block has been earmarked for potential demolition by Wolverhampton University. C20 has submitted a listing application, and local campaigners have started a petition to save it. ✍🏼Sign here: change.org/p/save-wolve...

Wightwick Manor looking glorious in today's sunshine. Well done @nationaltrust.bsky.social with the re-opening of the Mathematical Bridge. #Wolverhampton #nationaltrust #walking

Not for democracy it wasn't Toby

The extreme hoarding of wealth is sociopathic. Example below. It amazes me that people can argue the toss that hospital cleaners shouldn’t get sick pay from day one, and argue just as vehemently that the super rich shouldn’t be asked to pay their fair share of tax.

This makes me weep! What is the point of having a Labour Government? Growth at any cost..?

I am a little bored with the 'What About Brexit?' bombardment tbh but you really can't talk about the UK's "deep economic scars" without bloody mentioning it. Unless you're the BBC, apparently. Its negative impact is not an opinion, it's counting.

www.theguardian.com/environment/... Such an interesting read.

From 31st January to 2nd February, bringing together literature, poetry, music and dance for a vibrant festival celebrating arts and culture across Wolverhampton! www.wolvesliteraturefestival.co.uk

Fascinating (and ongoing) thread, and as ever, we need more of this kind of thing.

Beautiful Monday morning here in the sunny West Midlands! #walking #canals #Wolverhampton

NEW video 🎥😎 The right wing press has been up in arms this week about a Telegraph report that claims 1 in 12 Londoners is undocumented 😱😱 Is it true? youtu.be/8N-DWUHRM_s?...

New product idea: noise-cancelling ear buds for gigs. They allow you to hear the band clearly by blocking the sound of dickheads in the audience who are shouting at each other. If someone can make these, then you can have the concept free and I’ll be your first customer

Great early event for the Wolverhampton Literature Festival tonight. Thanks @sathnam.bsky.social and @officialjassa.bsky.social #books #wolverhampton

Rachel Reeves to soften changes to non-dom tax regime after hearing ‘concerns’. Another election pledge diluted. Any chance of softening on the two-child benefit cap, winter fuel payment cut, freeze on personal allowance? Thought not ... the rich rule. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Benefit cheats could be stripped of driving licences. Someone innocently exceeding the Carer's earning limit is charged with fraud, can't drive, many not be able to work, can't support family, needs more benefits. Hawks are appeased No equivalent sanctions for tax abusers, launderers, real crooks

Since 1900, the mathematical bridge at Wightwick Manor and Gardens has puzzled visitors thanks to its geometric design and distinctive arch 🌲 Following four years of conservation work, we’re excited to announce that the bridge has officially reopened. Have a read – https://buff.ly/4hprGcD

“We live on a finite planet that cannot support endless growth. The pressure to constantly consume is driving destructive resource extraction, pollution and waste, and contributing to the climate and extinction crises.” My interview w @sentientmedia.org sentientmedia.org/overconsumpt...

Social capital is "is the cake, not the icing" of a strong, growing economy. Great article by @guardianheather.bsky.social covering Demos's new paper - 'Social Capital 2025: The hidden wealth of nations' - written by Andy Haldane and David Halpern. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

It's a goal of mine to help make this the most famous, well-known and UNDERSTOOD quote about cities in history. Please share it as much as you can. #InducedDemand

Nothing says 'the continued relevance of monarchy' quite like a billionaire, English, unelected king, dressed up as a Scottish laird, turning up at a food bank in a helicopter

Watching 'Bank of Dave 2' on Netflix. Absolutely terrible film. I haven't seen anything that's made me cringe this much for a very long time...

The sun couldn't break through the mist this morning. #canals #walking #Wolverhampton

And stupid question about 'culture wars' !

I mean, that's outstanding.
