The people fired included tenured professors at fantastic universities who gave up jobs with lifetime security, that they worked decades to get, shut their labs, uprooted their families, all to serve the scientific community or the United States.
And then they got shitcanned for no reason at all.

Tell your stories. Tell them again. Have you been affected by what's going on? If so, putting this on the record is crucial. THEY DEPEND ON OUR SILENCE. 8/

We have to be relentless. If you know people in Maine or Oklahoma get them to do the same for sure. But as committee chairs they are steering appropriations matters for the WHOLE country, not just their states. They work for all of us. 7/

Will they listen to you? Hell, they won't even listen to their own constituents at this point. The point is to keep at them and let them know ordinary Americans are watching, that they will go down in history as cowards or heroes--it's their choice. 6/

The first is Susan Collins from Maine. Yes, she is a coward, but she needs to be visited in DC and in her Maine offices, and we need to call her every day until this stops. 2/ www.collins.senate.gov

Like... this is essentially for us and our wider alliance/foreign/security policy what the fall of the Berlin Wall was for the USSR

I understand the frustration among Dems, and also I see the Dems being hit with criticism from the left and the right. Harris lost by a tiny margin, and years-long campaigns of voter suppression, right-wing propaganda, and floods of $ unleashed by Citizens United bear a lot of responsibility.

Senator Warner (D-VA) is also requesting stories from terminated feds and has some excellent resources for federal employees on his website:

The Democrats on the House Science Committee have set up a website to collect stories from fired federal employees, anonymously if desired. Please amplify. (This helps the lawyers establish standing for bringing legal cases against the administration!)

Every dollar to an IRS worker results in $5 to $9 on average in taxes. On high earners it's double that. Meaning that this is a tax cut for the rich that circumvents Congress.

Flipping control of the Senate will require holding all 7 of the blue seats above (2 of which, MI & MN, which will be open seats), *plus* flipping 4 other seats.
Most likely opportunities: Maine, North Carolina, Ohio (if Sherrod Brown runs), Alaska (if Mary Peltola runs) & Florida (?)

Sure, maybe you won't persuade Susan Collins to step up. But if you focus ON HER relentlessly, then when things start to fall apart, people will blame her.
This is precisely how the GOP messaging got so good. By focusing on their enemy, relentlessly.
