Love you, mom. Miss you….each and every day.

For all of those who have posted my cartoon with my signature cut off, here is the original.

From a walk last week. Snow doesn’t kill my walking vibe but extreme cold does, even when I’m bundled up to the max. Looking forward to “warmer” winter this weekend for a walk with the darling grandgirl.

Letter from my mama on the eve of Trump’s 1st presidency. And here we are yet again. Love you, mom, miss you each and every day; your love, strength, empathy, kindness, and strength. You weren’t wrong.

My advice is to folks who are feeling deep stress over the political climate. If possible, unplug. Go outside. Physically, go outside and spend some time there, be present with the external world. If possible, connect with people you care about. Be present in the current moment.

Follow this man. @chefreactions.bsky.social Fantastic content. And his grandmother is a damned treasure

I don’t like how folk are trying to read shame. If you read 100 books, awesome. If you read 10 books, awesome. Just read.

HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE TO ALL WHO OBSERVE! (Happy summer solstice to the rest of you.)

Libraries are so cute. Please get the Libby and Hoopla app on your phone and the Kanopy app for your TV. It makes the libraries so happy and you can access books, movies, magazines, audiobooks, tv shows, and joy. YOU GET FREE JOY

Be Kind.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok? Signed, a librarian.

My idea of decorating for Christmas. Trees are beautiful and nostalgic. I’m older now, however, and at this phase of my life, I’m more into the simple and easy. Makes for a much more relaxing holiday in what typical is a stressful season

Choose empathy. Read.

Sunflowers are the best and the bees are a bonus. My grandfather was a beekeeper and he had an outbuilding on his property where he processed honey. As kids, my cousins and I were fascinated at the process. Pic taken a couple of years ago at a sunflower festival

Happy Thanksgiving my friends. Live Long and Prosper. 🖖
