Get some rest, everyone!

We moved a huge china cabinet so the wall can be painted. A total of about 30 cat toys are now back in circulation!

Diana says good morning!

🚨NEW🚨: Donald Trump is attempting to strip away federal support for libraries. We will NOT let that happen. Last night the President signed an order to gut the Institute of Museum & Library Services. But together, we know we can show up & defeat it. Full EO: www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

Beautiful orchids on display at the New England Botanic Gardens at Tower Hill today!

Instead of helping our most vulnerable and supporting farmers, Donald Trump and his administration are ripping the rug out from under them.

You're going to be tempted to engage in discourse focused on what Mahmoud Khalil said--was it actually antisemitic? Did he endorse Hamas?--and I cannot encourage you enough not to do that. It just doesn't matter what he said because you should not be detained and deported over what you say, period.

Yes. “People are doing things. You will meet them when YOU start doing things.” Lots of information and resources in this one. open.substack.com/pub/sherrily...

Apollo is lounging in the sunshine!

Diana wants to know what I'm looking at.

It is snowing outside, but I'm watching the Bruins and knitting with a warm cat asleep in my lap. For you knitters out there, I'm near the completion of the Effortless Shawl using a Koigu pencil box in rainbow colors. Oh, and the Bruins are ahead, at least for now. Better post quickly....

Just what are these three tuxies up to?

We had a visitor at the bird feeder today.

Don’t let anyone lie about January 6th. It was an armed attack. They had pipe bombs, guns, Molotov cocktails, stun guns, a crossbow, hockey sticks, bats, flagpoles, pepper/bear spray, brass knuckles, scissors, screwdrivers, and an axe. More than 1,200 arrested. 117 for weapons/assaulting police.

The censorship algorithm on Twitter reduced our audience by roughly 95%, and seriously, who does that to a wildlife biology & advocacy group ? So we moved 😇 over here to BlueSky If you could, please help us regain our following Follow Retweet and Repeat ;-) Together we can change the world.

Twinkie (yep, he's the orange one) and Minerva are enjoying a post-dinner nap on my lap.

And that is why we have plastic ornaments!

Rascal is enjoying a nap under the Christmas tree this morning.

Four pints of (very) late-season pickles are complete and processed - spicy carrot pickles and dilly beans! The kitchen smells like cider vinegar and garlic.

Minerva, of course.

Since they won't leave the knitted and felted bath mat alone, I knitted and felted a rug just for the cats. Diana seems to approve!

It's a quiet evening with Minerva and my knitting!

Apollo and Diana are basking in the sun this afternoon!

Minerva and Twinkie wish everyone good night!

Diana is watching Bird TV Live this morning.

Pleasant dreams to all from Rascal and Minerva.

Twinkie and Minerva wish a good evening to everyone.

Minerva sends greetings to all her BlueSky cat friends.

My last completed knitting project doesn't look like much - it's a bath mat. It's knitted in stockinette stitch from mill end rug wool, then felted in the washing machine. It's fuzzy, absorbent, and soft underfoot! 🧶
