Do you think there’s any chance that Battle River-Crowfoot could turn on Poilievre? He lost in Carleton because he ignored his (mostly rural) constituents. You would think that people who work so hard for a living would reject him. Wayne Horton had thoughts: open.substack.com/pub/letterke...

Which is why it's so curious that the CPC so badly want him back as leader -- for what? He has no actual political accomplishments to brag about and, worse, he's an emotionally-stunted asshole whose entire shtick is to berate and insult people, while hiding from criticism.

The Conservatives are treating Battle River as Poilievre's "participation riding". Someone call J_rdan P.

Maybe let people finish voting and counting the vote first

And Poilievre feels like your cousin Mike.

Poilievre no longer sounds like even he believes his own bullshit, BTW.

(Spoiler alert: it doesn't.)

Anyway, someone ought to ask him this week whether his commitment to making Canada "the freeest country on earth" and "property rights" includes using federal policy levers to seriously liberalize land use zoning and regulation.

When he talks about "apartments for students and seniors" near transit stations, what he's really saying is "don't worry, suburbanites - your single family detached house from 1983 is safe."

Haven't fully explored, and probably haven't even noticed. That's how dogwhistles work.

Furthermore: what does it tell you that Poilievre is nowhere to be found in the ad? Just how bad are their internals?

How do you figure it "possibly allows outside interference", though? The transmission of election night results "by computer" has no bearing on the count of actual ballots, and any discrepancy would be instantly detectable.

And? What do you think is the issue?

Not in a federal election, they aren't.

Ah! Fine, upstanding citizen Andrew. 🤦‍♀️ Makes sense. About to fire off my letter to the debate commission. I hope they get a flood of angry email. They should be ashamed of this decision to include far right media outlets.

Not even: it's just a rebrand of previously existing bullshit that is too closely tied to Conservative candidate and "journalist" Andrew Lawton.

The Debates Commission, I think.

The third purpose is to amplify pro-Conservative and Conservative-friendly bullshit.
comment in response to post
It's not a news agency. Its primary purpose is to shield Poilievre from real journalism. The second purpose is to spread bullshit that the Conservative Party can't safely "front".
