Also, the types of projects we can envision are different when a single course release (reducing us to three courses per semester) can blow nearly the entire grant budget. Even if we are guaranteed to get the grant, at some point it becomes not worth it.

As I understand it, we are required to provide information about class cancellations when we return to work. So this form is just to break faculty-student solidarity. I am encouraging students not to fill it out. Or may I should tell them to have some *fun* with it...
