Only 34 congress members signed onto a letter demanding justice for college students disappeared by the regime. This shit is going nowhere until they're all genuinely afraid of the alternative.

Instead degrowth or divestment from large agribusiness, subsiding small/medium farms and coops that are using regenerative practices and placing an emphasis on soil health and water quality will bring fast large impacts, enough to offset any livestock husbandry tenfold.

There's nothing wrong with being vegan, but since here it's being used for profit by companies whose profit driven methods cause environmental damage in the first place, it can't be used as a solution.

There are 2 more principles western leftists and progressives don't understand, 1 you can't change the system from the inside, and 2 democratic centralism where people of all walks who want a better future form small groups along ideologies and then form larger orgs in turn based on common goals.

Capitalism has 2 basic approaches, called the carrot and the stick. The carrot includes social programs so people won't complain as much and just go to work. The stick is where austerity measures are used to keep people so busy and tired that they don't have the energy to organize.

It's because most liberals and western leftists don't understand the real enemy here, or when they get close they use buzzwords and miss the mark, it's name is capitalism. Right wingers do have infighting but they don't argue about the basic goals, and in truth they're just serving masters too.

The thing is, we're also losing them by not giving them an out and making it all their fault, when we know they've been victims of misinformation their whole lives. People can't just be told the truth, they have to see it for themselves and sometimes it's painful. Most of us avoid painful situations
